Bridleway was short and sweet (🤫😂🏇🏅) mother had to grab the reins tight 😂😂

Refused to eat my food off the floor so mother put it on the pallet pile…. I’m a lady not a common peasant don’t you know 😂😂

Farrier day for us all today…. My tootsies were ok but my friends all had pedicures…. I was jealous…. Muchly…. So made sure I supervised and irritated not only the farrier but also my friends…. Bothered? Nope not a jot 😂😂

Mother says I’m a little sh*tbag but I’d prefer to think of myself as a huge bag of cheekiness 😂😂

Early hack and 2 wicked canters… went so fast mothers’ eyes were streaming and her mascara was streaked all across her face 😂😂

Super cold but the high viz rug kept me warm, mother had ski gloves on 😂

Still a bit foot sore so mother decided we’d try lunging….

Safe to say I couldn’t possibly walk (who walks anyway ? 🤷‍♀️) but my trot went from being ‘frankly a bloody mess’ (mother’s words not mine!) to something that looked quite nice 😊

Managed to sneak in a ‘jump and canter ‘ move just for sh*ts n giggles and then saw the heavies come zooming over to watch so I went full on Arab stallion 😂😂

Went to try the super duper expensive food mother bought last week and didn’t think much of it so kicked it all over the floor (🤦‍♀️🤬😊), got told I was a bundle of attitude and a sassy sod (and??!!!) and then told I was beautiful and worth all the effort 😂😂

Gotta know how to train these humans you know!!!

Mother decided we’d do some schooling in a field this morning as my feet are a little sore today…. I say ‘mother decided…’.

I decided, however, to perfect my pirouettes, my speedy reversing and pretend I was listening to heavy metal and shake my head like a nutter 😂

We must have gone in and out that bloody gate about 20 times!! Each time mother’s words in my ears ‘we enter calmly, act like a dick and we go back out again’. Hmph. 😤 . In out in out , felt like I was doing the Hokey Cokey 😂

We didn’t make it into a trot (😜)but we did make lots of pretty patterns in the morning dew and I did calm down and behave in the end 😂

This morning's efforts in a tiktok 😂

Thought I'd give Mother the run around.... She spotted me....boom...off I went 🤣

She followed me up the hill.... I zoomed back down.... She laughed and followed me down.... I enlisted reinforcements....my friends....and we ALL zoomed back up the hill 😂

By this point Mother was proper chuckling 😂 thought I'd try another downhill zoom.... Vali blocked my path 🙄 teacher's pet 🤦

Had fun today, Mothers teaching me how to bend through my neck.... All this 'shoulder in' nonsense.... I managed it on the right rein but decided to rub my nose on a wall rather than bend to the left 🙈🤦😂

Anyway, good time had by all, my hooves are coping really well without shoes (except on stoney ground) and Mother gave my mane a really nice brush when we got back 👌

Perfect way to start a week.... 5am and out on Mouse.... Before spending quality time with both herds, ex racers and heavies 💜

Super canter on the bridleway, a few minor disagreements about turning for home too soon but she soon found her mojo when we touched grass!!

So early I took my coffee with me 😂

Now for a day of people 🤦 FML

Early one on Mouse this morning.... First full hack fully barefoot 👌

2 months since we went on the bridleway and I was unceremoniously dumped after a pigeon flew up and touched her stomach....

Won't lie, I was nervous and Mouse was too....kept looking for pigeons and spooking 'just in case' 😂

Was I nervous enough that I couldn't hold the reins in one hand, the phone in the other and video it? Course not 😂.

Was she strong? Yes. Was she responsive? Yes. Did we have fun? Yes.

Well done Mouse 🐁 I'm mighty proud of you ###💜

Following mother even though she is wearing a 'Waterfall Shires' t shirt....and I'm clearly not a shire 🤦

Feeling quite chuffed with my tootsies as the barefoot transition is going really well and we went further again today.... Mum says we can have a canter next ride..... 🤫👌

Early start as always, mother was off to ride one of the chunky monkeys after me 🙄

Once I'd caught the pesky monster we had a super hack, barefoot transitioning is going really well and Mouse chose to walk further today.... I'm not pushing her because it's her feet and I don't want her to be sore.... Going great guns though 👌

A wet and soggy ride this morning but a ride all the same 😊 first time I've been in her back since her abscess burst....

Super girl, abscess no longer painful, bare foot transitioning going well, riding in the rain 🌧️☔ all good in the hood 👌

Happy Saturday campers 💜

Following a visit from supervet Uncle Nicko on Thursday, Mother's suspicions as to my lameness were correct.... I had an abscess in my hind left hoof.... I'd been kind enough not to throw mother off when she'd ridden me the other day so now it was her turn to be kind and sort my tootsies out 👌

Uncle Nicko had done his bit and mother said this morning we'd tub it and head out for a walk.... I hobbled like a Iame donkey 🫏, I glared at her and told her to sod off....it felt like I had 🦔 prickles in my hoof 😳 oh the pain 😱

Mother told me to 'get a grip and walk on!!! 'Zero sympathy from that direction!!! Tubbed, checked then dragged a few hundred yards until I realised it didn't hurt as much as maybe I was making out 🤫 so then we walked quite a bit further.....

Lovely wander with mother and feeling much better by the time we got back.... Hate to admit it but think on this occasion mother did know best 🤦🙄

First pic shows my absolute disgust at mother ignoring my hobbling.... The ears and angry eyes.....Second pic shows I'm much more comfortable and feeling slightly more gracious towards the unsympathetic one 😂💜
