Last week I saw Bella for an initial consult, and I decided to try give you guys an insight into part of her treatment based upon findings from her assessment.

3 months ago Poppy ruptured her cranial cruciate ligament, she underwent the TPLO surgery, and since then she has been receiving treatment from me to strengthen her right hindlimb.

This weekend I was at a NAVP hosted course that explored equine anatomy, function and biomechanics.
Dr Sue Kempton and Catherine Marshall did an excellent job at explaining their knowledge and helping to perfect our practical skills.
Using a Veterinary Physiotherapist who is associated with a professional organisation and or register will ensure that your animals will receive the best care possible. We are required to continually train and stay up to date with the most current industry knowledge, so you have peace of mind your animal is in the best hands.
Today we managed to get out and make the most of the sun ☀️
Walking over raised poles will help Fudge strengthen the muscles in his hindlimbs, improve the range of motion of his joints, and improve proprioception in his limb affected by a toe drag.

Progress update ✅
I have been treating Cindy for a little while to address trigger points and areas of spasm on both sides of her back.
The first video was from my first visit and the second video was from yesterday. As you can see there has been a great improvement! We still have a bit of work to do to fully address the issue, but she has progressed enough to start ridden work again.
