On behalf of Enid and myself, I wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who ordered a home delivery, took time to visit the shop or placed an order online.

It's the little business that could. It's been my pleasure to be able to help feed your dogs delicious and nutritious food this year.

I hope you all get a chance to spend some time with loved ones over this holiday period, eating amazing food and drowning in doggy kisses and cuddles.

With Christmas fast approaching, here are my opening days and times for those two weeks.

As with every year, when I sell out, I sell out. Most suppliers are closing over the fortnight and it can be a bit of a wait before the food flows easily again while they all play catch up. My advice is if you have the freezer space, stock up if you can. It may not be until mid January before I have a stocked freezer.

In 22 days, children across the UK will be opening the first window on their advent calendar.

In 22 days, dogs across the UK will be watching the children in the house excitedly counting down to the big day.

The dog, however, will be left out of celebrations. All they can do is look on. Their heart will sink. They have been forgotten.

Like all the other years before this, they will try to feel festive but they know they are not part of the celebration. They can't eat chocolate. And anyway, it's not their advent calendar.

They are the bridesmaid that has to look on and pretend to smile all the while feeling empty inside. The light in their eyes will dim a little.
