I hadn’t been away for around 9 years, as I hadn’t found anywhere/anyone that I felt comfortable enough to leave my Dobermann with.

I was sent regular updates whilst I were away of my dog living life to the full, on lovely picturesque walks, calm around other dogs etc it’s been fantastic and the main thing is that he was happy and fulfilled.

If I could give 20 ⭐️ I would. We with be using this service again and I’ll be recommending to my customers and friends.

❤️ Hero cats needed ❤️

Could your cat be a hero?
Could your cat be a blood donor?

Fuzzy is a pet of two of our vets at Medivet Alder, who unfortunately has found himself extremely poorly. At the moment he’s in a referral hospital being looked after, but he could find himself needing a blood transfusion in the very near future.

This is where your little hero could come into help!
Unfortunately cat blood doesn’t store well when collected, so there is no pet blood bank for cats. We need to take the samples directly from patient and give them straight to the needing patient.
Therefore, your cat needs to fit a criteria.
Your cat would have a full blood test, blood typing and FeLV and FIV checks before donation was taken. This is in the form of a usual small blood sample.
If your cat fits the criteria below, and you would be able to bring your little cat for the donation in an urgent time frame (if contacted) please get in touch ❤️

Criteria:
* Fit and healthy
* Between 1 and 10 years old
* Weigh more than 4kg
* Up to date with vaccinations
* Up to date with flea and worm treatments
* Not on any medication
* Have never travelled abroad
* Have never had a blood transfusion
* They can be indoor or outdoor cats

A**l Gland expression, not a very nice subject but an important one at that!

Regular external expression of the a**l glands helps prevent issues such as impaction or infection. However, if the glands appear infected or compacted, it is important to seek veterinary care. (I will advise this) they may have to be expressed internally.

Fishy odour
Scooting on the floor
Licking their hip or back end
These may be signs that they need expressing.

I offer this service as an add on for £10.
