Lead The Way Canine Care We provide family friendly dog training along with dog walking services in Aberdeen City. Who are we? Lead The Way Canine Care was established in 2016.

We offer a wide variety of classes and workshops, and we also do personalised 1-2-1 sessions. We can provide these services both on, and off line. In addition to our training services we also provide professional dog walking services to certain areas of Aberdeen. What do we do? We specialise in helping families to raise well behaved pet dogs. Each of our trainers has a slightly different style, bu

t none of them consider using pain or fear to train a dog an ethical choice. Instead we use motivational techniques which include using markers, toys and food to train your dog. When can we train? With the online course you can train at any time. If you want to book a class, workshop or 1-2-1 session, please contact us via our page. The team is available to contact Monday-Friday 10am-5pm UK time. Our Trainers:

I have a very rare 5 day a week space coming available for my dog walking service at the end of April 2025.

If you'd like to put your name down to reserve the space, please read the following:

- The dog needs to be at least 6months old
- Lives in or very close to Balgownie/Rosemount/Hilton/Midstocket areas of Aberdeen
- Is reasonably OK with dogs & people (dogs terrified of other dogs or people do not enjoy group walks)
- Weighs under 20kg (expected adult weight if a pup)

The price is £13 per walk and includes the following:
- Pick up and drop off, travelling in their own crate with comfy vetfleece bedding 🚐
- Up to an hour exercise with other dogs (slightly less if dogs need washing/drying or extreme weather conditions affecting the dog's ability to enjoy themselves)
- A shampoo and shower if the dog has rolled in something smelly💩🙈
- A highly knowledgeable and experienced dog trainer in charge of your dog
- Fully insured and disclosure checked

It's going to be warmer next week than it has been Though the forecast says max 18c, I imagine it will definitely feel a lot hotter, especially between 12pm-6pm.

Walks will proceed as usual, I will be keeping to shaded areas and if there's no access to running water I will be bringing water with me for the dogs. If I feel its in their best interests, walks will be shortened to protect the dogs.

I would suggest keeping your dog's comfortable indoors by:
🐾 closing any blinds/curtains etc where the sun will shining in a window.
🐾 if you don't have air condioning, open windows for air circulation (or keep a fan on if you believe its safe to do so around your dog)
🐾 refresh the water in your dog's bowl at least 3-4 times a day
🐾 leave out a cool mat for your dog (again, if safe to do so, some dogs like to chew them!)

For going outside:
🐾 avoid walking along pavements and roads as much as possible, grass is best for your dog's feet
🐾 reduce the time of your walks if you don't have access to a lot of shade or water
🐾 even if you have access to water, don't forget that water toxity is very real and dangerous. Short bursts of swimming for your dog to cool them off
🐾 make yourself aware of the signs of heat exhaustion in a dog and be aware that dog's that are overweight, old, young, brachycephalic or dog's with a thick heavy coat that is difficult to brush out are far more likely to succumb to heat exhaustion

It's likely to be an absolutely gorgeous week, let's all enjoy it 🥰
