Lovely young Poppy - showing a great memory retrieve. This is where we show the dog where the dummy is then carry on walking - she then has to remember where the dummy was left. As this is a new exercise for Poppy we keep it simple by giving her a obvious track to run back on - this will make sure she is successful and build her confidence. 🐾🐾

Miniature dachshund CeCe is a retired breeding bitch. Her new owners have been experiencing some issues with CeCe`s reactivity around other dogs, people and anything new. It seems likely that CeCe did not see much of the outside world or had much exposure to people and dogs. The first session she literally barked non - stop at everything! She also has shown a tendency to run up to people/dogs and nip if given the opportunity. This is her way of dealing with scary situations. We introduced some simple pattern games, along with building focus on Jess and Paul. Also, learning to disengage from things that are scary. This short video is from the 2nd session, it may not look like much, but is a huge improvement from the week before! CeCe looks much more relaxed, her little tail is wagging happily, and she focused beautifully on Jess! We also introduced her to the clam toy to get her using her nose to find the treats - sniffing is something she very much enjoys and will help her to relax. Well done team CeCe! 👍🐾

1-2-1 Session with team Tama, Josh and Lauren. Warming up with some around the cones. Then on to some perch work, introducing pivoting - this exercise has many purposes - we teach it through shaping - breaking a behaviour into tiny increments, marking and rewarding each part, then gradually putting it together into the desired behaviour - a great way to get that spaniel brain working! It also creates stillness, focus and produces a more advanced level of heelwork. We finished the session with some fun gun dog games - retrieving over the bales! Well done team Tama!🐾

Meet the handsome Bruno! He was adopted from a rescue in Greece by Steph and Barry. Still very young at 11months - he can struggle with over-arousal at times, which result in some fairly strong mouthing behaviour towards his handler. Along with other basic behaviours, we have introduced pattern games to create a more predictable situation that helps him to cope when he feels over-whelmed.
