KIBBLE FEEDERS: It’s always a good idea to add variety and rotate the protein you feed your dog.
NATURAL FEEDERS
When you are cooking your dog’s food, or feeding raw it’s a good idea to rotate your proteins and/or feed mixed protein meals.
You can switch protein up daily, weekly…no less than monthly.
🐮 Beef contributes iron, zinc, and vitamin B12
🐷 Pork has the highest amount of thiamin (vitamin B1)
🦃 Turkey is the most protein dense and has a good amount of B vitamins, potassium, selenium and phosphorus.
🐑 Lamb has zinc, selenium and B vitamins and since they graze on pasture have a low omega 6 to 3 ratio.
🦆 A great cooling options for dogs that run hot or need cool protein. Duck has selenium, phosphorus, and B vitamins.
🐥Chicken is the most affordable of all the animal proteins. Chicken provides a decent source of necessary vitamins and minerals, particularly selenium, potassium, phosphorus and B vitamins
🦌Venison: As deer mostly live and feed in the wild, venison has a much lower fat (and omega-6 to omega-3 ratio) than other meat. The excellent omega 6 to 3 ratio stands at approximately 2:1.
Venison has more vitamins and minerals than beef despite having significantly fewer calories. In short, venison is possibly the most nutrient-dense meat out there.
🐇 Another great cooling option for those dogs that need it it when they have allergies or yeast.
👉🏽 How many different proteins do you currently feed?
Eat well. Feed well.
