Happy Birthday to two specials ladies, Lola and Mercedes! They got a yummy carob birthday cake with peanut butter and carob frosting, decorated with ginger and carob cookies.

These smaller birthday cakes are prefect for celebrations at home. They will last 3 days in the fridge from purchase, making them ideal to give over a few days as an indulgent treat.

Let’s talk carob…

Carob is naturally sweet and free from caffeine and theobromine, making it a great dog friendly alternative to chocolate.

Carob is high in fiber, helps aid digestion and promotes a healthy gut. It is also high in antioxidants such as vitamins E and D which help prevent diseases, aid wound healing and joint pain and promote all round good health.

That’s the reason you’ll find carob in loads of our bakes, either in a ‘chocolate’ form, or raw organic carob powder baked into cakes and cookies or added to cupcake icing.

Introducing the Coconut and Banana Donut 🍩🍌

A soft and fluffy baked donut packed full of fresh banana, 100% peanut butter and organic coconut oil. Decorated with dog safe, non toxic carob chocolate and a sprinkle of desiccated coconut.

Fresh fruit has the same fantastic health benefits for dogs as it does humans. Bananas are packed with lots of essential vitamins and nutrients including fibre, which is great for aiding digestion, vitamin C which helps boost your dogs immune system and biotin which alongside coconut oil, promotes healthy skin and a shiny coat.

Pumpkin seeds in the fight against worms!

Freshly Barked are pleased to offer monthly supply boxes of our handmade Pumpkin Seed and Chocolate Chip Cookies. Pumpkin seeds have been proven to be one of the safest, natural and most effective solutions to worms in dogs. Pumpkin seeds contain an amino acid called cucurbitin which paralyzes, eliminates and prevents further worm infestations (I've seen the results with my own eyes!). These cookies are a fabulous alternative to traditional worming tablets, super tasty, nutritious and no chemical nasties🌿

Goodies dropped off at Norman's Dog Day Care this morning for a special joint birthday party for Flint and Norman!
