Happy Halloween 🎃🍁👻

Halloween can be a scary time for our dogs. Unexpected knocks at the front door and people dressed in costumes can be confusing and frightening for them. Here’s some tips to help keep them safe and calm:

🎃 Walk them before it gets dark to avoid passing lots of trick or treaters

🎃 Make sure you have a safe space for your dog weather this is a crate or a room

🎃 Stick to your dogs routine when the doorbells rings. Keep them separate to the entrance and away from children - even if your dog is great with kids, their ghoulish outfits may throw them

🎃 Reward good behaviour with treats

🎃 Distract them - stuff a Kong to keep them busy

🎃 Keep them away from the sweets and chocolates as this is very toxic to dogs

🎃 If your dog is really worried, put a sign on your entrance saying ‘nervous dog’ and maybe leave sweets on the doorstep to avoid knocking

Who else struggles to know if the Dogs have been fed?
We love this nifty little device you can buy on amazon! No technology, just a super simple slider to let you and your household know if the dogs have been fed or if those puppy eyes are real and they are STARVING!

Of course if they are starving we would suggest you grab yourself a bag of Mendip Black Dog Food! Its grain free, super healthy and made in the UK, what's not to love!

This is Bonnie! She’s only 9 weeks old but soon she will start her training to become a working sheep dog! She can’t wait to get into her new treats when training starts in a few months time! But for now she loves running around the garden, chewing anything she can and destroying her mums chilli plant!
