Bianca is the little princess that wants to be the center of your world and you hers! Perfect little lady to add life into a home. She is being rehomed, due to no fault of her own. After living in a multi-cat home her whole life, a new kitten that was rescued was added to the home, which has upset the dynamic and left her feeling unhappy struggling to find her place amongst one too many cats. She would be suitable to a home with another four-legged friend that don't mind Bianca being the only one wearing the crown or to a first time pet parent with no other pets. DUBAI - FOSTERING OVER THE SUMMER
Pets make great companions to children, Betty & Luna’s courage and loving spirit is powerful tool and shows children that it’s OK to be different.

Betty - Ginger and White, rescued with a broken paw which later had to be amputated.

Luna - reached with a broken hip which has been operated on.

Both cuddle bugs and super friendly. They just need a temporary stop gap until we find a furever home for them. All essentials will be provided.

Thomas is the perfect cat for a quiet home. Having a rocky start in life being abandoned, and yet to find a forever home, Thomas is looking for a permanent family. He’s a typical teenager and loves watching tv, especially videos of mice, and he’ll be sure to snuggle up for a nap with you afterwards. He is a kitten in a fully grown body and appreciates loving reassurance from his hoomans - something he will give back to you too. Thomas would work best as an only cat or in a home with solely male cats, as he gets on better with them. He also is an indoor only cat, so a secure home where he cannot run out will be crucial.

Aimee is currently studying her masters in International Fashion Marketing at Glasgow Caledonian University. Her experience stems from working with Fashion brands promoting brand awareness and increasing organic growth on social platforms. She has a cat called Calah and a dog called Jim.

Aimee was born and raised in Dubai, her parents are Scottish and in 2009 moved to Spain, followed by relocating back to Scotland in 2013. Her compassion for animals stems from childhood having grown up with various rescued animals with her parents, totalling around 8 rescued cats and 2 dogs over her childhood. She is well versed in the challenges the Middle East face on animal welfare and will be taking a leading role in content creation for the Itty Bitty Kitty Tails. We are thrilled to have her on the team.

She would be perfect for a busy, noisy home so she can join in on the conversations and interact with the whole family. Is your cat keeping you up at night? Read on to find out some tips to help train your cat at bedtime…

Firstly, cats are playful creatures that require enrichment through playtime with toys to help mimic their natural instincts and behaviour. Incorporating playtime before the last feed will help get some of that energy out and tire them out before bed! Extra Tip: Feed them later so they have a nice full belly before sleepy time!

Don’t reward their bad behaviour, it might sound obvious, but we can all be guilty of it. If they wake you up to get some food or to play with you, don’t respond to it. This would mean they would begin realising that they can keep waking you up! It’s best if you ignore them and they’ll eventually get bored of trying.

Lastly, and most importantly: keep going! Training your cat takes time and effort but it will be worth it once you can get a full night's sleep! It usually takes around 2 weeks for them to learn/unlearn behaviours.

WELCOME TO JOYCE

Joyce is from Europe and ‘owner’ of 2 rescues, both FIV+, of which one, Sandy (aka Sandman) was adopted from IBKT last year. Born and raised in a home with a dog, multiple cats, and birds’, animals are a fundamental part of her life. In her time, she’s had dogs and cats in her household for many years. In Joyce’s earlier life she was involved as volunteer-at-a-distance with a famous European cat shelter, while lately she has been an integral part of a local cat shelter, often taking home some of the ‘unadoptables’ or end of life cats. New and seasoned pet owners often ask her for advice. We are delighted to welcome Joyce to our team as a guest writer to share a tip or two far and wide with a few tales of her rescue and rehoming journey along the way.
