Our Pomsky puppies have had the most incredible week of growth and discovery. At just five weeks old, their little minds are opening up in the most beautiful ways. Through gentle socialisation, they’ve learned so much about the world around them — new textures, new sounds, new people, and even new problem‑solving moments.
I have spent time observing their way of thinking, and it’s amazing how quickly they’re beginning to connect experiences with confidence. Each pup has embraced new adventures with curiosity and wagging tails, showing us just how bright and adaptable they truly are.
From exploring new spaces to interacting with different toys and environments, their personalities are shining through more each day. This stage is all about building positive foundations, and they’re absolutely smashing it.

🌿 Car Confidence Training
One of the biggest achievements this week has been introducing the puppies to car travel in a calm, positive way. We’ve taken it step by step:

🐾First session: simply relaxing in a crate inside the car, getting used to the space and smells.
🐾Next session: the engine was turned on so they could experience the vibration and sound without movement.
🐾Then: a short, gentle drive to help them understand the sensation of motion.
🐾Finally: building up to meaningful little adventures — a walk around the woodlands on one day, and a visit to a store on another, just to watch the world go by.

❤ Meet the Puppies — Their Personalities Are Blooming!
🐾Gomez – Our happy little investigator. He loves to run around, tail constantly wagging, and he embraces every new experience with bright-eyed confidence.
🐾Grover – The calm soul. He takes everything in quietly and thoughtfully, and he loves being close to humans — a real gentle companion.
🐾Gable – The big teddy bear. The largest of the boys with a laidback, easygoing nature. His playful, cheeky side is starting to shine, and he’s as cuddly as he looks.
🐾Grace – The sassiest little queen. She carries herself with beautiful confidence and has that perfect all‑round Pomsky temperament — bold, bright, and full of charm.
🐾Gaia – The sweet, laidback girl. She’s gentle with a slightly cheeky streak emerging. There’s something about her that reminds us of Po from Kung Fu Panda — cute, soft, and quietly hilarious.
🐾Ginny – The quietly blossoming star. Her confidence has grown so much this week. She approaches new experiences with calm curiosity and takes everything in her stride.

The puppies have handled each stage beautifully, showing curiosity, calmness, and that wonderful Pomsky resilience. These early experiences help shape confident, adaptable dogs later in life, and I am so proud of how well they’re progressing.

4 week pupdate 🐾

Astra and Drake's puppies' weights at 28 days are as follows:
Ginny 3.14kg
Gable 3.13kg
Gomez 2.43kg
Grace 2.33kg
Grover 2.16kg
Gaia 2.11kg

The pups are coming along beautifully. They are eating raw meat, drinking water, run around, and enjoying the older pack members being around them. Eden adores her half-siblings- she curls up with the pups in the crate, cleans and plays with them.
Our first stroller trip was a huge success and I will build upon that with adventures to new places and of varying lengths. The pups have a huge stroller and the bedding on top of heat pads kept them warm and cosy.

My observations so far:
Gomez has beautiful confidence. He greets new experiences with a wagging tail and enjoys investigating.
Gable is a big boy who goes with the flow. I see more of his cheeky side when he plays my 10 year old son. Gable loves to chase him around the room and interact with him.
Grover has a sweet little character. He sits back, takes everything in and seems to be more people-oriented.

Gaia is one of the most laidback puppies that we have ever had. She can sleep through anything, even the noisy hoover being nearby. She also has a sweet character and enjoys interacting with humans.
Grace is confident, a little cheeky, and is people-oriented.
Ginny is a little different to her siblings. I am taking socialisation at a slower pace with her as she needs a little more time to process what is happening. She will soon catch up and develop key skills to help her navigate the world around her with confidence.

The week ahead will involve car socialisation, more stroller trips, introductions to water and further introductions to the hairdryer.

3 weeks old today!
It is hard to believe they are only 3 weeks old, as they are growing so fast and seem ahead in development. I saw Gomez run a good distance last night, and he tried to pounce on a sibling.

Today marked the start of weaning. I look forward to this day, as it's not only a new milestone for the puppies but also when I can ease the pressure on the mum. Astra can gradually recover and have more time to herself.

Last week was a busy one for the puppies. I introduced them to new things each day and we have made progress with sound desensitisation. They listen to storm and firework sounds but I also play a wide variety of other sounds that they may encounter. From car sounds, traffic noises, people talking, children playing, babies crying, store noises, crows cheering, factory machinery, animal noises, sirens, and many more. I hope that when I take them out, most of the noises will be familiar.

I had to increase the area they were in as they were getting too big and Astra didn't look as comfortable as I would have liked.

I saw Grover watching the TV yesterday as a baby cried on a TV programme.
Ginny has been caught howling when she wants milk.
Gaia seems to love interacting with us humans.
Gomez has found his voice.
Gable is a big boy and blends in.
Grace likes to chomp on things that move- siblings' wagging tails!

2 weeks old today 🐾❤

Astra and Drake's babies are growing fast. They have opened their eyes, are wobbling around on their little legs, starting to interact with one another and they are gaining a good amount of weight every day.

ESI and ENS will stop at day 16, sound desensitisation will begin, and puppies will gradually be exposed to new things. I have been taking them out of the pen one at a time to get them used to being without their siblings. This will continue, and the time away will increase.

In a few weeks, potential owners will be invited to come and meet the pups. They will meet Astra, Drake, half sisters Eden and Alaska and the rest of the pack 🥰

Astra is a perfect mum. She is content relaxing with her puppies, is attentive to their needs and she clearly has great quality milk. She eats a lot, drinks plenty and is recovering well 🥰

Drake has seen his puppies through a glass window and he had the waggiest tail! He is going to enjoy meeting them properly when the time is right.

The waitlist for this litter is closed. Puppy matching will start in a few weeks and I will update my posts and website if any puppies are passed on.

As it is here are my pack 🥰

They blew me away when I took these photos. Whilst photographing one, the other 8 sat and waited on the sofa near my little setup. They did not have to listen and if they wanted to, they could have easily taken the treats next to me.

Do I need 9 dogs? Yes I absolutely do ❤❤❤❤

It is , and to celebrate- here are our latest arrivals 🥰

Mum and puppies are doing fantastic. All are health checked numerous times a day, puppies are weighed once a day and I am very pleased with them all.

Astra has learned how to ask for food and water. I strategically placed a water and food bowl where she can see it from the whelping box. She will either catch my eye or make a huffing sound to indicate she needs something and when I make eye contact, she will look towards the thing she wants. If she moves and cannot see her food bowl, she will turn her head toward the room where her food is kept. The puppies have an intelligent mum ❤

Introducing Astra and Drake’s Glowing litter of 6 ✨

Yesterday, Astra did an incredible job and made whelping 6 puppies look easy. She is eating and drinking well, resting with her babies and she is clearly a natural mum. I am truly grateful for her 🥰

Times and birthweights are as follows:

For now, I need to concentrate on Astra and ensuring her puppies are gaining weight. As long as all goes well, I can start ENS and ESI on day 3 and build up our socialisation, working up to outdoor stroller trips 🤗

I am looking forward to seeing Drake’s face when he sees them- he is going to be over the moon! Every time I go out of the puppy room, the pack all look at me as if for news and then smell the newborn puppy scents. Alaska and Eden are very excited and they will be delighted when they can play with their half-siblings.

I am slowly replying to people. I do feel guilty not being able to get back to people in good time but I haven’t had much sleep for the last 2 nights. It is a full time job caring for the pack, Astra and the puppies 🙈

The weekend was an emotional one. Kody (Fisco) left on Sunday and when you realise that certain moments will be the last time you have them... it hits you.

Last night with us, the last meal, the last play with his mum....

I took Kody with Willow, Eden and Enzo to an enclosed field on Saturday. He had a great time exploring somewhere new and watching the others run around and play. He had tried to run with them but quickly realised he would never keep up.

We have lovely memories that we will cherish. I am super proud of Kody as his first evening, night and morning in his new home have been perfect. We have already planned to meet up in Spring 🥰

It is one of the best feelings when you are reunited with a puppy whom you helped bring into this world ❤

Of course, I had to take some photos to show him off. He may be a good example of what we can expect in our next litter too 🥰

Dexter was Enzo in our E litter. He is a wonderful mix of Raven and Drake, and he is surprisingly taller with a solid build. It is fascinating when you can see and hear the traits the puppies inherit.
