Our popular Community Canine class starts a new session on 6 February. Four indoor classes working on the behaviours your dog needs to live happy and contented in family and community life. This week was the last classes of the current session. Our next session starts in February. Tuesdays classes are already full! Puppy Class will take place on Thursdays at 6.30pm. If you are looking for a class that provides:

Our final team member is Trainer Gwen
Gwen has trained dogs and their families both in class situations and on a one-to-one basis.
Gwen is a Karen Pryor Academy Credited Training Partner and a Registered Animal Trainer with the Animal Behaviour & Training Council. She has a City & Guilds in Scent Detection as a Scent Instructor and as a Handler.
Gwen’s current dogs are all spaniels (Millie (13), Gracie (7) & Thomas (4)) and she has shared her life with a number of breeds and cross-breeds to date. She has trained her own dogs for Scentwork, Truffle Hunting, Working Trials, Lowland Search and Rescue and general obedience.
When not working with dogs Gwen enjoys painting, reading and creative writing.

The next team member is our media guru Sarah.

Sarah is very involved in the dog world and with her Border Collies Swift (12) and Rayna (8) there isn't much they don't do!

Swift has retired from agility and hoopers and is an avid mantrailing dog! Rayna and Sarah compete in agility and rally obedience and are part of the Rally Obedience Scotland team. Rayna also does truffle hunting and mantrailling.

When not training with her dogs Sarah likes swimming and watching American football.

Our next team member is our Trainer June.

June is the Training and Behaviour Specialist for a CIC specialising in human-animal interventions and is a member of the Pet Professional Guild and the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers. She is also an Approved Professional for Kids Around Dogs.

June has a wealth of experience both in class situations and on a one-to-one basis, in particular with dog reactive dogs.
June currently shares her life with 2 spaniels (Maddie 11 and Harry 2) and a Flatcoated retriever (Gryffin 3) and has previously had cross breeds in the family.

She has trained her own dogs for various activities including tricks, Parkour, scentwork, agility, general obedience, working trials, truffle hunting and lowland search and rescue.

When not working with dogs June enjoys singing, puzzles and reading.

We thought it would be useful to introduce ourselves again for our new followers. First up is our Trainer Helen.

Helen has worked for a rehoming organisation since 2004 and has a wide knowledge of different breeds and working in rescue, she has shared her home with various dogs which have ended up as permanent residents. Helen currently shares her life with Collie Bella (14) and German Shepherd Kobi (9).

Experienced in a wide range of behavioural problems; particularly in dog reactive and anxious dogs and Helen uses her knowledge, patience and expertise to help those dogs & owners enjoy a normal life.

Helen has trained her own dogs in general obedience, working trials, lowland search and rescue and co-operative care, scentwork and truffle hunting.

She's a recognised trainer and judge for Scentwork UK, is a Kennel Club Good Citizen judge and has competed and judged in working trials across the UK. Also an accredited Hoopers Instructor with both Canine Hoopers UK and Canine Hoopers World. Helen is also a fully qualified pet and human first aider.

When not working with dogs Helen likes to read, build lego, listen to music and watch movies.
