Here is big Ollie! This handsome chap is a rescue boxer who has issues around overexcitement with other dogs as well as fear with men.

He is a smart chap and learns fast so looking forward to his upcoming sessions!

Here is the lovely Dolly, the 10 year old Corgi x Collie rescue from Romania. She has issues around other dogs as well as people coming into her garden and home. I won her trust but we want her to feel that way with everyone. We will be working on improving her confidence and showing her that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

She is beautiful isn’t she? 😍

Shadow is getting some help from me to build up her confidence with other dogs, she is fine with some but gets really anxious with others.

She is a cuddle monster who is obsessed with cheese! 🧀

Spent the day out with Hannah’s Happy Hounds doing meaningful enrichment with her clients. Here is Milly doing backtracking. Essentially hiding a toy and getting her to go and hunt it down. She loved it but kept trying to watch me hide the toy to cheat 😂 this one was completely hidden so she had to use her nose, as you can see she picked it up fast!

Recent graduate from reactivity training. Dexter used to be very reactive to people and dogs but enjoyed a stress free training walk in a busy park last weekend!

Dexter sniffing for treats to relax him a bit after an absolutely fantastic session. He can be reactive to dogs and people, he has shown amazing levels of improvement over a fairly short period of time.

Sniffing is a naturally calming behaviour and can really help reactive and easily excitable dogs to calm down, sniffing is great for all dogs though. You can do more complex scentwork or make it as simple as throwing a handful of small treats in the grass. You can use this if your dog is on reduced walks after an injury too.

Say hello to lovely Raya. She was rescued from the dog meat industry by DMT Dachshund Rescue and is loving life in Fife but has some issues with anxiety with people and dogs. We will be working with her over the coming weeks to reduce her negative associations and to improve her confidence.

Rescue Galgo, Codi, had a session yesterday working on resource guarding issues. We have a behaviour modification plan in place now and most importantly “control and management”, this is essentially lines of safety we have in place to prevent guarding behaviour before the training takes effect.

He is super bright and switched on to training so I’m sure he and his fantastic owner will do great!

Also, how gorgeous is he?! 😍😍

New client 🐾
The lovely boy, Archie, is getting some help with his recall. As a lurcher, he has a fairly strong prey drive so we will be working on this too.

We did some recall exercises using both treats and toys, he was responding really well to both which is great because we can use lots of different games to help him! He is already starting to learn the main games really well. Ain’t that face gorgeous?! Gotta love a sighthound!

Dexter has just started with me. He has a few things in life that make him quite nervous, especially new dogs and people. We will be working on improving his confidence and reducing his anxiety.
As you can see he is super handsome and has eyelashes any pop star would be so envious of! 😍

As a working line sheepdog she is always on the lookout for something to herd, we have started to introduce outlets for this and have seen a great improvement in her focus outside. Fab progress so far 💪

That’s Mylo and his owners’ graduated from their reactivity training. That’s not to say his training is over, it never is with reactivity as we are dealing with an emotional issue, not just the physical response. What we can do though is improve the emotional response of the dog and give them more confidence.
They have done amazingly well, I have seen such a great improvement over the last few weeks and have we now have solid plan in place going forward 🐾

This is Bella, she really can’t stand it when her mum goes out and screams the house down.
Her mum is starting separation anxiety training with her. 😍

As a new service I have the “DIY Approach” where I teach my methods and give clients all the resources they need to get started and progress though the training with email access to me as an aftercare service too.
