Dogs & Dales is a dog walking service based in Ripon, offering our services locally and to the surrounding areas. I have well over thirty years dog handling experience, and was a police officer in the Metropolitan Police Service for 10 years. We only home board dogs we walk and have a relationship with - please give us a call, email or visit our website for more information.

Mornings are getting lighter. Significant difference at 7.30am. Dogs still have their alien 👀 eyes though!

Freezing temperatures. Ice. Grit. Salt. This over numerous days means the dogs pads are sore and developing/developed frost nip. Missing a walk will be beneficial.

Quick stop off to feed the sheep!

Lowland the snow not so bad so we made a decision and went to a location we rarely go to.

Walked from home and the walk took 2 hours as for me it was like walking in treacle. Not that I have walked in treacle 🤷‍♀️ Hard work for the human. The hounds loved it although I think Beanie was on my page. Poor lad. #snowdogs

It is not the amount of the dogs you run it is the quality of behaviour. Ronnie & Beanie excellent recall & do not chase or hunt. Off lines all the way. When we saw a human came close. Baxter & Margo 50% freedom. Also excellent but can hunt. Daisy, ASBO & Freddie - Feral. On their lines all the way. Studley Roger - High Batts onto Seven Bridges. About 5.5 miles. Perfect run. All about the dogs. Running conditions under foot amazing for this time of year. #runningwithdogs
