The beautiful Bottega is a regular...hard to believe when you see the hair that comes out of him!
He is a British Longhair, which are fairly rare and have a lot of thick dense coat.
Its only been a few months since he was last done.
Luckily he is a good lad and just let's me groom him without too much fuss.

Persians... I groom a lot of them, thing is they never look happy in their pics 🤣

Some of them are happy honest.
Here is a selection from Monty the hairest Persian I have ever met to some with more regular coats. Some have lion cuts, some are kept in full coat. All cats are treated differently as they are all individuals and their grooms are worked around what they will tolerate and their lifestyle.

CAT GROOMING
I offer the following services in your home, which reduces stress caused by travelling and being taken to a strange environment.
Your Cat is much more comfortable being Groomed in familiar surroundings.

🐈Nails (before starting the groom)
🐈De Matting (either by clipper or comb depending on severity)
🐈Grooming to remove all dead hair
🐈Hygiene Clip
🐈Lion Cut
🐈Thinning (thick coat is the problem not length)
🐈Cleaning of the fur (not bathing, cats hate water)
🐈Ears & Eyes cleaned (if needed)

Cats are more difficult to groom than dogs, they only want to be handled on their terms and therefore restraining them for long periods is highly stressful for the cat. 99 times out of a 100 the most difficult cat can be groomed – very rarely is there a cat that can not be groomed, but it does happen from time to time. Having worked with animals for over 35 years I am very experienced at handling cats. Occasionally, if I feel your cat is getting to upset I will refer you to your own vet to get some sedatives before trying again.
I prefer the owner of the Cat to be present if at all possible. This is because the Cat is far easier to groom when the owner is on hand.

I cover a large area, approx a 10mile radius from my home.
I do occasionally go to Hexham and Ashington but group these apointments together.

MICROCHIPPING is a legal requirement for all dogs over 8 wks old and soon all cats over 20 wks old.

Thousands of pets are lost every year and many are never reunited with their owners. Microchipping your pet gives them the best chance of being identified and returned to you if they get lost or stolen. While collars and tags can get caught or removed, microchipping identifies your pet permanently and effectively.

A tiny microchip is quickly and simply inserted under your pet's skin between the shoulders. This gives your pet their own unique code.

The microchip can be scanned and matched to the owner's contact details, which are kept on a national database.

Microchipping is only effective if you keep your details up-to-date.
If you move house or change your telephone number you must make sure you tell the database you're registered with so that they have your up-to-date contact details.

Microchipping your pet...prices start from £17 depending on whereabouts you live. Price includes registration on the database.

Scanning your pet to get their number and finding which database the animal is registered on.
Price starts from £10. There may also be a fee charged by the database to update your details.

This is my new page/Business name.
For those who don't know me my name is Vicki and I am a Qualified Vet Nurse.

I have been providing pet care services for approx 5yrs now. Until recently we also offered Veterinary Services - as I no longer have a Vet working with me I thought a change of name would make it clearer.

I still offer the following services - Cat and Dog Grooming, Nail clipping, A**l Gland Expression. Home visits to provide holiday care or administer medication. Emmipet teeth brushing ( NOT ultrasonic cleaning).
