Bruisers little item that I took him down to the vet for doesn't need attended to in the near future and hopefully improves on its own. The vet had the boys in for an hour and fell in love with them all. Proud piggy parent after the vets health check 😉

Piggy field trials over , the loft ramps were too steep for a prolonged climb , too much stress on the wee ladies legs both going up and coming down !! Lofts lowered 6 inches and ramp climb is gradual and the girls are up and down with no problems......Chalk and Cheese seem to be settling into their new pad now , such a relief....

Midweek piggy clean today , decided on a full clean as it was my rota day off. Jasper has never stuck so close to me as he did today. he was standing on my foot staring at me in the kitchen , when i went through to his cage he followed , when I went back into the kitchen , he followed and stood on my foot again , staring at me ❤ , he is such a cool little dude , love him to bits ...

Jasper is sound asleep with his back to me , on top of the coffee table where he now lives. Its a fabulous feeling knowing how safe that wee guy feels when he can do that , not a care in the world .....

Laying in the darkness of morning and little Sorcha is once again foremost in my waking thoughts ...
The thing that draws me to animals is their total and complete honesty.
Humans are so fickle these days with their strange quirks and eccentricities. There are only a few who I know , who go about their daily lives , spreading real happiness in the way they lead their lives. To some , they may seem ordinary but to me , they are a beacon of hope at the end of a long dark tunnel.
Animals on the other hand , grab my heart with their little paws and connect to me through pure innocence and complete honesty. Some think my attitude towards animals is strange and probably obsessive. That doesnt really matter to me as long as I stay true to how my heart makes me feel and act towards animals.
Chalk and Cheese were the reason my life changed so drastically 10 years ago. They opened my heart and literally saved my life. My life today would be so different if not for them.
Maybe one day , a greater portion of people will make me think of humans in the same light as animals. They have a lot of catching up to do but dont forget ... the animals are evolving too !

For those at brekky , read later for a laugh if you so wish ....
Looking for a laugh and a guinea pig lesson , read on .....
Sitting in the TV chair at brekky , watching a docu on elephants and Elsa wanted over. I gave her a nailclip and quick bath in the sink and she sat on my chest whilst i dried and brushed her.
I noticed two "poops" on my collar and deposited them beside the TV on a napkin. Elsa was not settling , going round and round until , eventually , she was trying to get into my mouth ???
Then it dawned on me what was going on .... Elsa could not balance properly on my chest so she had deposited two caecals on my dressing gown and was now looking for them , haha
Once the silly human realised what i had done , i replaced the caecals , Elsa took care of business and settled down to sleep under my chin.
Life lesson about guineas on uneven surfaces taken on board hahaha

That's Chalks big dog-bed washed and dried and back under the settee ! Maybe now she will stop giving me the evil eye after she saw me remove it this morning...she missed her afternoon siesta and had to tough it out in her hay palace... its a hard life little Chalky eh ?

The hardest thing I had to do for Marshmallow , apart from losing him. The final farewell is the acceptance that it is the last time you will see them on this Earth , the next time being at the Bridge.
Marshy , you have Chalk , Cheese , Melanie , Casey , Toby , Rhino , Bruiser , Jasper , Einstein and Jasmine waiting for you at the Bridge , they are your family ... keep an eye open for the day Dad appears at the Bridge with treats , that will be some day , I promise...
