A piece of my heart, a part of my soul is gone forever.

Our Rosephine Bear slipped away peacefully yesterday after a full and beautiful life, and a very short but terminal illness which I would not allow her to endure another moment of.

If you ever need a reminder of their pureness of spirit, just watch them go to heaven.

You just cannot begin to imagine the pain of saying goodbye until it happens.

Watch us from heaven my darling girl. We already miss you so much 💛🐾🌈

As dog business owners, we are always putting dogs’ needs before our own, and can be guilty of self-neglect. I hear you, it’s hard. But fundamentally, if you’re not at your best, you can’t be the best for your clients.

It's my birthday! 21 again... wahoo 🥳

October 1st is not only my birthday, it's also the beginning of ADHD Awareness Month. I REALLY don't like "awareness posts" for the sake of content, but this one is close to my heart.

A year ago, at the age of 33, I finally got the answers as to why I'd felt completely mental my entire life.

Why I'd always felt like I was different to everyone I knew, why I never feel like people understood me (still don't), why I've always struggled to do the basic things that seem to come so naturally to the people around me.

Why I can never shut my brain up, why I seem to start thousands of projects and never finish them, why everything I touch seems so chaotic.

Why I ended up with a difficult relationship with alcohol, and why, at many points in my life I feel like an utter failure, unloved, and unlovable.

My ADHD diagnosis in October 2023 started me on a journey to self-acceptance.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think ADHDers every fully accept or understand who they are, but learning that my brain was wired up differently certainly has helped me to start forgiving myself for the flaws that I just put down to laziness, stupidity and character defects.

So, my content this month is going to be based around ADHD Awareness. I'm going to talk about myths, use of language, as well as championing the aspects of my neurospiciness that I believe are key to running a business well.
