A goodbye and big BIG thank you from Hound Helpers.
A few months before I turned 21, I set up a little business in Manchester, following my dreams of working with dogs, dog walking, day care at my home and home boarding, I won a business award after only 18 months and a 5k prize. This allowed me to expand, have staff and a bigger van.
After 2 years I relocated to Pershore/Evesham and started again from scratch, while training to become a dog trainer, hard work, determination, wonderful clients and dogs enabled expansion again providing dog walking, pet sitting and with the addition of training and grooming. A few more awards won and countless qualifications along the way too!
It has certainly been a journey! Plenty highs and lows, mistakes made and learnt but most of all its been my crutch, my reason to get up in the morning to help dogs and their people, even when I really didn’t feel like helping myself. 18 dog walkers trained in behaviour & handling, thousands of dogs and owners helped.
After 16 years, last week we closed our doors for the final time, something that is one of the hardest things I have ever done. I am numb.
I wanted to say a massive thank you all for making all those years possible, for allowing me to be a part of your journey for trusting me with your dogs and thank you for being part of mine.
