Yesterday, I done a little bit of fencing. Sam ended up helping me to bang the posts in and then I cut and screwed the rails on. It's not great, but it'll do the job hopefully. Just got to angle the post now, but I'll figure that one out during the week ❤️👌

Had Clint the farrier out yesterday morning to trim Ivy, cuddles and Berties hooves. If u need a farrier, give him a call ❤️

On Saturday afternoon I spent a couple of hours down cutting back all the branches and the tree that had blown down in the extremely strong winds that we'd had recently. Least we can see the stream again 😍

So yesterday morning I was armed and dangerous. I took my little chainsaw and sorted one of the trees that had blown over in the wind at the far end of the lake ❤️

The back garden panel had broken in the winds. As it was still windy yesterday I didn't fancy repairing the fence in the wind and rain. So, thank god for hurdles 😂. Only temporary, but it will do the job of keeping Milo and Diesel in, until I get round to repairing the fence 😊

Yesterday morning was very wet and windy. Dogs didn't seem to care, they were still running around like lunatics. A few trees down, the sheep's fence had to be secured and part of our back fence came down too. So, a few repairs to do around the place in the next few days 🤔

As some of u may remember, a couple of items on our play area were taped of last year, due to not being safe as the concrete was moving as they were put in and concreted individually. This time, I'm going to concrete them all together. Fingers crossed this works 🤞🤞🤞

Myself and my youngest daughter Sydney was out filling more potholes on the drive on Saturday afternoon. Syd said she'd only help, if she could use the tractor and not have to push the wheelbarrow all the way. The youth of today 😂🤣

Sunday afternoon I asked Mick and Georgina to help me catch up Lazzie and Tallulah, as I needed to trim their feet. On my way out of the back door Gregg was just coming in, so he offered to help too. I'm sure Mick and Gregg enjoy it a bit more than they should at times 😂🤣. Thanks guys ❤️

Another successful release, and this time I let Sam do the release. It was the Buzzard that was found at Camel Creek Family Adventure Park, trapped in fencing, and handed in to us ❤️

When Milo lets you know something is in the blue drum that shouldn't be..........my heart stops as I can hear something rustling in a bag and know I'm the only one outside so will have to deal with it on my own....... 😢. Then out flies Mr Robin. (You'll have to open the video to see it properly, it is quick though.) How relieved was I that it wasn't a rat or mouse 😅❤️❤️

The Buzzard that came in the other day was released and headed back toward Padstow where he was found ❤️

Our Story

At the Cornish Birds of Prey Centre, we are passionate about providing a caring home for mistreated, unwanted, injured and neglected birds of prey whether from private owners or from the wild. Many commercial centres breed and sell birds for profit to fund their organisation. This goes entirely against our ethos and only assists in creating a bigger problem. In recent years the influence of movies, media and financially lucrative markets has increased the number of unwanted birds. Our funding comes entirely from our generous visitors, sponsors and donors whose ticket purchases and contributions help us to keep the centre running all year round. We provide a permanent, caring safe haven for each and every bird or animal currently in our care now and in the future. Our aim, and the purpose of the centre is to educate our visitors, allow them to learn more about our magnificent and beautiful birds and provide a relaxed, informed and fun environment. Our hope is that this knowledge will prevent people impulsively buying birds of prey as pets and to enable them to understand the commitment that owning a bird of prey requires. We invite you to come and support the centre and the work we do, experience our fantastic flying displays, and learn more about these amazing animals.
