Five top tips to help your cat stay calm during fireworks season

Keep your cat indoors after dark. It’ll reduce the risk of them being spooked!

Create a safe space for your cat. A cardboard box lined with blankets is perfect. Cats feel safer higher up so placing the box on a sturdy shelf is even better

Play music. Cats and loud noises don’t necessarily mix. Keeping a radio or TV on can help if your cat gets scared from the sudden sounds of fireworks but try to avoid radio and TV programmes that have sudden loud noises, for example panel shows

Use a pheromone plug-in. A plug-in diffuser, such as Feliway, can create a calming effect on anxious cats and place it in the room where your cat spends most of their time

Stay calm. If your cat wants reassurance from you, they will come. It’s best to avoid overwhelming your cat by constantly going to check on them in their safe space and don’t over fuss them if they aren’t keen

CAT VACCINATIONS

Please REMEMBER to send me a picture of your cats updated vaccinations details every year so I can update my records. This saves time for us both later on. (I require a picture of the full card not just vaccination details)

Before you send the picture please ensure your own details on the card are up to date.

It is important for your cat to be weighed every year when they get their vaccinations. Please ask your vet to kindly mark this on their card. When sending your picture to me please ensure you let me know the veterinary practice you got them done at.
Thank you. x😺🐾🐾

Why should I get my cat vaccinated?
Vaccinations are vital in keeping your cat happy and healthy. They will help to prevent them from getting very unwell and even dying from certain diseases. It’s even more Important to make sure kittens get vaccinated.

There are lots of reasons to get your cat vaccinated, such as:

Protecting them against deadly diseases

Helping to prevent the spread of certain diseases among other felines

Protecting vulnerable cats from becoming seriously ill

Most insurers will require you to vaccinate your cat for your insurance to be valid

If you use a cattery for holiday care, they will often require you to vaccinate your cat

I would like to introduce Molly who is looking for a new home. I have had the joy of getting to know her from a young age when coming into the cattery for her holidays.
Unfortunately, her sister is bullying her and this is the reason for rehoming. Molly is 1 ½, spayed, micro chipped and up to date with her vaccinations. She is currently still in her own home however if we do not find a new home for her soon, she will have to go into care until one becomes available. All possible new homes will be check out to help ensure that you are the right match for Molly.

She is a pretty playful girl and very affectionate. She has had access to outdoors and would like to have this again once settled into her forever new home. Even though she has lived with her sister we think she would be okay with living with another cat. However, I'm sure she would also be happy being the only cat in the household. Please pm me if you might be interested.

Have a good weekend everyone. x 🐾🐾
