My assistant for admin this afternoon
Himself stole my puppy again today and managed to gain his last The National Nosework Association Pre-Entry badge at Beancroft Agility, Hoopers and Scentwork
I hate to admit how well he has done with Lettuce Elizabeth but he really has. After years trying to get him to have a go with the others i really wasn’t prepared for him to steal Lettuce but so far he is enjoying the journey.
We had great fun The Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey for our first The National Nosework Association Excellent stage trial hosted by Chippers School for Dogs. Scentwork and Agility
The weather was vile! Wind. Rain. Cold. Not July weather at all and this made the exterior tough for the little weirdo. Interior she was in her element, clear and move, clear and move and nailed her very first purple badge. Selection was a long sweeping S shape with the odd boot, bait box and some other stuff I can't actually remember but Tic took this in her stride with her usual 500 mile an hour search style gaining bade number 2!
We came away with a Reserve medal and a big smile.
Sharing the day with some amazing people with the same passion for this sport is always a good day out, no matter the weather.
Thanks to Julie for setting the searches and Judging today with Marianne looking teeny tiny in her big coat keeping the records.
Having some fun at Prior Dog Park before we head of for Tics first The National Nosework Association Excellent trial at Denny Abbey farmland_museum

Today Lettuce Elizabeth and I snuck off whilst himself was sleeping and picked up a couple of friends on the way for a quick trip up the road to take part in a Scent Trial.
The weather has shown all seasons today with a rather loud thunderstorm and torrential downpour half way through the day but we had a great day with friends.
Lettuce Elizabeth made all the finds which earned her a Bronze Super Star Rosette and Simba TJ & Myka bagged themselves a Bronze Star rosette.
Lettuce Elizabeth was supposed to be my puppy that I got to experience The National Nosework Association trials from the ground up with.
After 12 years himself decides to take an interest in Nosework and out and out steals my puppy!
He’s doing really well with her which is even more annoying!
Well done on getting Reserve today my little one and making all the finds whilst dragging himselfs sorry bum around and showing him how it’s done.
Today Mighty Flea and I headed out to Flixton Museum for a The National Nosework Association Entry Stage trial with Norfolk Scent Dogs.
My only aim today was that Flea had a lovely day and that we made a single find in each area but Flea had other ideas and wanted to remind me just how mighty she really is.
Our first search was the Interior, not one of our favourites of late and Flea was a dream!!! Not only did we make all the finds with a lovely smooth search (even if I do say so myself) we earned a SYNERGY!!!!
Exterior she worked her little legs off trying to get in to an open hide on a propeller that was catching on the low brick wall. We were last to run so that odour had spread and stuck all over the place but she never gave up and kept trying to source it herself.
The Selection was fab, total commitment to the box and steady and unhurried.
Vehicles she was hot to trot and nailed all 3 hides with very little movement from me.
We came away with so much today, a Winners Medal, a Synergy, 3 badges and one of those was the final interior we needed to stage up to Enhanced BUT more than all those lovely achievements for me was the re-connection with Flea and watching her enjoy herself so much.
My thanks to Jo T and Julie F for setting some great searches and to all my car park companions for a lovely day.
Last night the girls did a 'thing' - we went along to K9 Scent & Search UK to do our next stage The National Nosework Association ORT tests and they both passed!!!!
Well done my lovely girls
Our lovely Monday morning walk turned in to a Monday morning murder and all before 7.30am!!
This little angel found a pigeon fledgling and thought it was the best toy ever!
I did manage to get her away but couldn’t find the poor bird when I went back to look.
We love delivery day from Pupadoodle PicknMix 😍🥳😍🥳
I don’t know how it has happened but Lettuce Elizabeth is 1 today!
Happy birthday to my littlest little and her sisters and brother - Midge, Myka, Lyla & Scout.
They have been at this for the last 5 minutes!!
(Please excuse manky floor, it’s on Himselfs list of jobs to do so expect it done around 2028!!)
Mighty Flea was on a road trip again today but for a change it was just the two of us.
Lovely The National Nosework Association Entry Stage hosted by Sniffers at Colne Valley Railway
After some really dodgy searches of late where she is hunting rather than searching, my aim today was to focus on building back her pattern and stop the pinging.
I started with her off lead but quickly put her on as I immediately felt I was nagging.
Her first search was horrible BUT her second which I worked entirely on lead, was lovely! Selection was great and then finished on exterior where we started on lead but then took it off as she was working well and I was really happy with that search as well.
We got the 2 badges that I wanted today and got some of our connection back.
Yesterday Flea was up for a very soggy The National Nosework Association Entry trial with K9 Scent & Search UK
She was an absolute cow bag on the interior but done well on the exterior and vehicle searches.
Lettuce won her first The National Nosework Association Medal tonight!!
Taking part in her second Foundation Stage trial and handled by 'himself' she managed to make all the finds and gain enough points to bag a reserve medal.
I am super proud of her and I have to say it, 'himself' as well. He has never taken any interest in the nosework until Lettuce Elizabeth joined the family and he has been working hard with her since December when she started her training with him.
Thanks to terrible traffic this morning the girls and I couldn’t get to our fave walking field so we had to book another.
Running early so decided to stop at a Sainsburys I was driving past and do a quick search with Lettuce Elizabeth.
First trial today with Norfolk Scent Dogs and our first The National Nosework Association badge!!
At last!!
Tic was competing today The National Nosework Association Enhanced Trial at Riverside Timber Recycling Project, one of our favourite venues.
We finally managed our last Exterior badge and have now staged up to Excellent.
She worked like a dream today in some really strong winds.
Bluebells and bog dogs!
We had a lovely walk this morning at The Bark Park Woodlands Adventure got a bit choked up thinking it may be the last year that Olive sees the bluebells
Post swim ‘do’s!
The littlest Ferals sporting some ‘80’s retro after their swim at Completely K9 Hydrotherapy & Rehabilitation
Lettuce Elizabeth is home 🥰
No fractures, just bruising thankfully.
Few days rest should see her back to her over the top spaniel self.
Thank you Riverside Vets Canvey for looking after the littlest Feral today.
Little Lettuce Elizabeth has been in the wars today and has a suspected broken bone in her front paw 😢
Our wonderful vets Riverside Vets Canvey checked her over this afternoon and gave her some pain relief and
tomorrow morning she has to have an x-Ray to see what the problem is.
She is feeling pretty sorry for herself at the moment.
The 3 feralist Ferals and I have been away for the weekend in beautiful
We stayed at a lovely little holiday cottage Mayalls Farm Holidays. Beautiful scenery to add to the quiet beauty of the little cottage.
We can’t wait to go back.
When you are an old Princess and need allllll the pillows. 🥰
Took the littlest to see her brother today. They had a lovely play and walk in Windsor and then lunch in the pub.
So well behaved The Royal Windsor Pub & Dining who even have a Dog Menu which the pups enjoyed.
The feral 5 came to work with me as usual and I actually managed some photos of them having some fun searching the tanks Royal Engineers Museum with K9 Scent & Search UK
It’s a bit muddy at the The Bark Park Woodlands Adventure Meadows this morning
Glad we have a groom booked Pawzazz for after our walks today
This is the spaniels version of staying clean on their walk before we head off to a trial today 😖😖😖
They have managed to splatter poor Olive as well.

Lettuce is learning to search no matter what’s going on around her and she is doing really well. #noseworkdogs #nationalnoseworkassociation #workingcockerspanielsofinstagram #scentdogtraining #nosework #noseworktraining
She may be old and rickety but she is still Happy and loves her daily mooch around the woods. We stop a lot but she is happy. It seems impossible that she is 14 years old.
Morning run for the girls, even old Olive picked up the pace. This is the best part of my day. #scentdoghandler #westcottagecockers #wahkian #workingcockerspanielsofinstagram #weimaranersofinstagram #longhairedweimaraner #lovedogs #lovelife #k9sasuk #k9solutionsessex

It’s so hot today! Time the girls for an early morning swim Completely K9 Hydrotherapy & Rehabilitation This is second session for Lettuce and she loves it! Old Olive would benefit the most from swimming with her old legs but she hates the water and the treadmill is just a bit much for her now so she potters around the sides whilst the others get wet. #noseworkdogs #longhairedweimaraner #scentdogs #wcs #weimaranersofinstagram #tobaccodetectiondog #NASDU #workingcockerspanielsofinstagram #ck9hydro
