Transition Veterinary Physiotherapy TVP is currently on maternity leave and will return in 2026 🐾

Transition Veterinary Physiotherapy is owned by, Emma-Jayne Rudkin, a BSc Hons Veterinary Physiotherapy graduate from Harper Adams University. My previous experience with animals, both competitively and caring for companion animals led me to pursue a career in Veterinary Physiotherapy. During my time at University I become more involved with working dogs and competition animals which has been a ke

en interest of mine since qualifying. TVP works with cats and dogs for rehabilitation and also offers a canine performance service for competition/working dogs.

TVP is now on Maternity Leave 🎈

Thank you to all my wonderful clients and clinic staff across all the practices I work at for their kind words and well wishes.

I look forward to seeing you all again in 2026!

Please note that my phone will be turned off and my emails and socials won’t be checked during this time. If you are concerned about your pet please contact your primary veterinarian 🐾

I have great experience with Melanie Bruder from Phoenix Veterinary Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, as well as the hydrotherapy team at Ashbourne Canine Hydrotherapy. So please reach out to them if you wish to seek therapy whilst I am away.

You may also wish to look at the registry listings on both IRVAP and RAMP websites for local therapists.

All the best and see you soon,
Emma

🎈 TVP will be going on maternity leave at the end of May 2025 🎈

As my current clients are aware, I am expecting a baby and therefore going on maternity leave next month.
My last working day will be May 30th. I please ask all insurance claims to be completed within 24 hours of your last treatment session with me. I will be available for administrative tasks only until Midday June 1st. After this date I won’t be contactable until my return at the start of 2026.

I would like to thank my clinics and my private case load and past patients, for their support, not only during my pregnancy but during all my time running TVP. I have always been incredibly grateful to love my job and it certainly remains an odd thought to not be working alongside you all after next month.

During my last day I will post details for those seeking therapists whilst I am on leave and my current cases will have either had these details already, or be given them over the coming month.

Thank you,
Emma

This morning I rechecked the wonderful Finn. His owner and I have been working on getting his mobility to maximum capacity, alongside his multimodal management plan.
He is showing signs of good progress and loves the treats that come with it.

It’s not just canine paws that I get to see!🐾

This handsome chap came to see me at my Ashfield House Veterinary Hospital Ltd clinic. Many people may not consider cats for veterinary physiotherapy treatment, but they can be great candidates and should always get the option where suitable!

You can catch me at Abbey Veterinary Group on Tuesdays 🐾

Always a pleasure when the team gets to work together!

Throughly enjoyed my time working alongside Mel from Phoenix Veterinary Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation
I am incredibly grateful to work with such incredible members of the profession; Vets, Nurses, Veterinary Physiotherapists and Hydrotherapists.

When we combine and work together for the care of an animal, the results are brilliant.

🎇Noise Sensitivity🎆

Over the coming months you may begin hearing fireworks, which can be distressing for some animals. Did you know that animals that show an increase in noise sensitivity, in some cases, have been linked pain?

Your vets will be at hand to provide you with support for pain management, but veterinary physiotherapy can be an invaluable tool for this as well.

Please do reach out if you think this could benefit your pet 📞

Isla and I enjoyed hosting some CPD for Abbey Veterinary Group to aid them in achieving new accreditation.
We ran through various harnesses, collars and leads. Covering their suitability and pros/cons for each. We also ensured that staff feel super confident in fitting these so they can pass the knowledge onto you guys too!
