I am illustrating a story about a rook (chick) and not sure which way to go with a style (these are all by me). The story is aimed at young children (and I don't have one of those anymore) so can any parents out there offer any opinions? Also - for those that know about birds, do they all resemble rooks? TIA

Any suggestions on an inspiring or appropriate phrase for this image? It is intended as a card - so could be related to a birthday (age & beauty), or changes being good. Do you know of an Autumnal poem excerpt? I am doing a seasonal card series of trees. Maybe also needs a small animal on the ground? Squirrel? Fox? If I use your text suggestion I will send you 5 free cards! :)
