Why spay your dog⁉️

Pyometra is a common and FATAL disease that exclusively affects female dogs that have not been spayed.

Sadly, Daisy recently lost all seven of her puppies, and wasn’t the same afterwards. Her owner posted on Facebook and asked if anyone had puppies she could foster and was soon contacted by an owner of eight orphaned puppies.

Of course Daisy took to loving and caring for them straight away 🥺😍

🥵 HEAT WARNING ⚠️

It’s super hot today and set to be for the rest of the week!! We have to be extra careful with all breeds of dog, but especially our flat faced friends!

A few reminders for your dogs safety:

⚠️ Do not walk your dog
⚠️ Do not leave your dog in a car
⚠️ Do not transport your dog if they get very stressed in the car
⚠️ Do not leave your dog for long periods out in the sun

✅ Provide your dog with a cool and shaded area
✅ Offer water regularly
✅ Use a cool coat or cool mat
✅ Set up a fan
✅ Soak their coat or dip in paddling pool
✅ Offer frozen treats such as frozen yoghurt
✅ Be aware of heat stroke signs
✅ Contact your vet if you are worried

If your cat is currently being fed ANY of the following, please stop feeding it immediately and change to an alternative brand for the time being. It has been recalled as a precaution as there may be a link to a lethal illness which has resulted in the death of several cats. The cause is still being investigated at present, but it is not worth the risk.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of the referral centre, which has some of the best vets in the world, the condition has thus far proven extremely fatal 🙁
