🐾 Big News Alert: Goodchap’s is under new ownership! 🐾

After years of dedication and endless tail wags, the legend himself, Mark Goodwin, has decided to hang up his hat and retire! 🎉 He sends his biggest thanks to each and every one of you for your amazing support over the years. It’s been quite the adventure, and he’s left with plenty of pawsome memories!

Liam is still with the company, keeping the Goodchap’s spirit alive and well! 🙌 We’re also welcoming a new ownership team, some new faces and fresh ideas as we enter a whole new chapter of Goodchap’s growth. More good vibes and exciting things are coming your way!

We have just completed a move from Taunton to a brand new, bigger, and better space in Bristol! 🎉 This upgrade means we can serve you even better and get busy with developing new goodies for your furry friends. Stay tuned for some fresh updates, including a whole new logo, reimagined artwork, and the launch of our new cat range! 🐱✨

With the holidays right around the corner (yes, it’s that time already 🎅), we’re gearing up to fulfill all your Christmas pre-orders—so get those in as soon as possible to guarantee a treat-filled festive season!

A big thank you to our amazing customers—because of you, we’re able to donate treats to some truly deserving charities! Our latest donation is on its way to the dogs at Hope Rescue 🐾🐶

We’ve also included a few extra treat packets for the hardworking staff and their own pups. We know how challenging rescue and welfare work can be, and we’re so grateful for everything you do for our canine companions.

🐾ENRICHMENT FOR OUR DOGS 🐾 To keep our dogs happy and and healthy, mental enrichment is super duper important. Providing enough enrichment helps promote calmness and good mental health for our dogs, which is really important in such such a hectic, busynabd loud world our dogs have to live in. What is enrichment? Enrichment is anything that enriches our dog's lives for the better, so this includes sniffing, digging, licking and engaging in activities that our dogs enjoy that use their senses. Providing enrichment in their day to day lives is crucial. Otherwise, dog parents may start to see various mental health and behavioural issues crop up from the lack of using their special doggy senses. How can I provide my dog with enrichment? Enrichment is really easy to provide for your dog. Depending on their age and breed, enrichment activities may consist of some of the following: ✨ Scattering their meals in the garden for them to sniff out, rather than feeding them from a bowl. ✨ Filling a puzzle toy or a food dispensing toy with some treats or their meals. ✨ Freezing some yoghurt or peanut butter on a licki mat. ✨ Hiding some treats in a rolled up tea towel for them to get out. ✨ Providing your dog with their own sand pit for them to dig in. There are lots and lots of activities your dog can do that they will find incredibly enriching! So...Onto the important question. Is your dog getting enough enrichment? 🤔 The answer will vary for each dog. But a good baseline rule is to aim to fill 15-20% of your dog's day with exercise and enrichment! This will ensure that you're supporting your dog's mental and emotional wellbeing with dog-specific activities that will enrich their lives for the better. Thank you for reading 🐾

Here at Goodchap’s, we believe that dogs give so much and ask for so little, so we aim to remedy this problem. Our range of luxury dog treats are the perfect way to say thank you to your dog.

Goodchap’s was founded by father and son team, Mark and Liam Goodwin in 2018, and with the help of illustrator Beth and product taster Ralph, we developed a range of dog friendly gifts suitable for telling your best friend how much you appreciate them.

Whether you want to say thanks for always being there, thanks for protecting the household or simply thanks for putting up with my silly human ways, Goodchap’s is the perfect way to say it.
