Fireworks season is a tough time of year for horses and other animals🐴🎆

On the evening of a firework display:
👉 Try to stay as calm as possible. If you're anxious, your horse will pick up on it.
👉 Where possible, keep your horse's routine as normal. Make sure the horse’s surroundings are safe and secure, and there is nothing protruding that they can injure themselves on.
👉 If you share a yard with other owners, consider setting up a rota to check on the horses during peak firework season. Playing music can help to soften the sound (make sure you have desensitised your horse to this beforehand).

Did you know Pennine Trail are celebrating their 35th birthday this year❓

Linking the North and Irish Sea, the route passes through the Pennines, along old railways. 🛤️

The vision of the Trail was born in the late 1980's following the demise of many railways, and today this wonderful facility provides over 370 miles of route through a partnership of 27 local authorities. 🏔️
