Today I am grateful NOT to be working in clinic. No not to enjoy the sunshine, but to be away from the devastation that heatstroke still causes despite multiple warnings. I am grateful not to be battling to save lives, and witnessing unnecessary deaths of wonderful dogs who would have quite happily missed a walk today.
To all my veterinary colleagues, I just hope you do not have to see too many tragedies today. Sending lots of love and healing as it’s part of our job which should no longer be part of our job and has a huge negative mental impact.
KEEP THOSE DOGS IN THE COOL, AT HOME!

Just to let all clients know I have proper air conditioning in the salon set at 18c so it is nice and cool all day.
Please make sure that if you have air con in the car have it on full when bringing your dog to me or if not, have windows fully open to prevent from overheating.
A cooler bath and cooler dryers are used to avoid temperatures rising and plenty of fresh cold water is offered through out the groom.
If your dogs are just in for teeth cleans I provide a cooling mat on the table for them to stand on to cool them down.
Please contact me if you feel your dog is suffering and would like to bring your appointment forward, I will do my best to try and fit them in.
Remember
DO NOT leave dogs in cars even with the windows open, heat still rises rapidly!
DO NOT exercise your dogs, late evenings only if nessessary.
DO NOT walk your dogs on hot pavements! If it’s too hot for your feet it’s too hot for paws!
DO NOT pour cold water on your dogs to cool them down if you think there suffering, this can cause shock! Instead use wet/damp towels.

RIP handsome boy Bailey🧡
Tuesday was a tough day, Bailey suddenly became very poorly as he arrived for his groom, he was rushed to the vets but sadly didn’t make it😢
Bailey was just a few weeks short of his 14th birthday. He was one of my longest clients in my career as a groomer. I’ve been grooming him for 10 years, coming every 4 weeks for either baths or grooms, he loved the fuss and pampering🥰 he was the most gentle loving boy who I will miss very much🥹
He also came to stay with us for a holiday along with his brother Angus last year, it was a mad house but we loved every minute and of course was treated as if they was our own❤️

RIP Gorgeous boy Theo🤍
Theo was a little fighter, he suffered with Lupus along with a few other problems and has really been through the wars pretty much all his life, bless him.
He was always very anxious about leaving his owners but once we got our usual routine going he settled down, trusted me and let me do what I needed to do giving me kisses along the way. He was a little bit special and we had a lovely bond❤️
Run pain free sweet boy, will miss you💔 ###

Hi everyone
Just wanted to apologise to the clients I’ve had to cancel and reschedule the last couple of days.
I’ve been suffering with a nasty kidney infection since the weekend and it’s completely wiped me out!
I’m slowly on the mend so fingers crossed I will be back at work tomorrow🤞

POLITE NOTICE
Please can all regular clients book their next appointments in before you leave. It’s just not working for me to message you with dates and times and then waiting days for replies, then the dates have gone and we go round in circles. This is taking a lot of my spare time, for basically no reason.
If you want an appointment please message me and I will get back to you with availability.
Please reply as soon as you can to avoid being disappointed, especially if you want a morning, evening or specific day appointment.
I try my best to look after my loyal regular clients, you have my utmost priority, please help me out a little.
My working hours are:
Mondays and Fridays 9 - 5.30pm
Tuesdays and Thursdays 12- 8pm
