Posted @withregram • @bouncestorrington ‘Lifting weights’ is one sure fire way to power up your metabolic rate which means your body knows how to burn fat faster! In ((BOUNCE)) BARBELLS classes we use low weights approx 2.5kg - 4kg either side of a bar, and we do lots of repetitions of the same move, this means you won’t bulk up but you will lean out and muscle tone. And if you’re over the age of 35 strength and body conditioning is imperative because of the more rapid rate at which we lose muscle mass. Don’t forget the value of weight training being mixed with cardio. Try to do 1 barbells class for ever 2 cardio you do in an ideal week.

Some facts about osteoporosis prevention through mini-trampoline training:
Bones require pressure to stay strong. Sports such as jogging or strength training are good forms of exercise to counteract bone loss, but due to back, knee or hip pain when running, they are often no longer an option for some.
Therefore, bouncing on the mini-trampoline gives the body the best of both worlds: a workout that is gentle on the joints, but also still strengthens the bones.
