Rabbits nails can grow long when they are pets and more so if they're not spending alot of time outside. On average I recommend rabbits have their nails clipped every 3-4 months if needed. Please don't be embarrassed about how long they are. The main thing is owners have noticed it and get them trimmed. No judgement, only solutions 💕 home visits can prevent the stress of the carriar and travel. Starting from £15, message me your postcode for a quote 📍

📣 OWNERS OF XL BULLY TYPE DOGS

The time for applying for exemption is quickly disappearing! The window closes on 31st Jan. After that date your dog could be seized if deemed of type and you would have to go through the courts to try and get them back.

What do you need to apply?

✅ £92.40 is the cost of exemption (per dog)
✅ Microchip number, or get your dog chipped. We can help with a voucher for £10 off the cost. https://rspca-nottinghamandnotts.org.uk/microchipping/
✅ Third party public liability insurance start date. Don't have it? Can apply here https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/support-us/companion-club
✅ Your details and date of birth (you must be 16 years old to own an XL bully type)

❎ If your dog is over 1year old on 31st Jan you have until June 30th 2024 to neuter or spay them.
❎ If your dog is less than 1year old on 31st Jan you have until 31st Dec 2024 to neuter or spay them.

❤️ WE CAN HELP WITH THE COST OF NEUTERING. If you live in our branch area, we can help with a £100 voucher towards the cost BUT your dog must be exempt and you need to have proof of this.

⚠️ Obtaining exemption is the most time critical aspect of this ban. ⚠️
As mentioned, we can assist with the cost of microchipping and neutering but the exemption MUST be applied for ASAP.

These are my last available appointments until the end of the month. Nails clips rarely need doing urgently as most clients I see every 2-4 months so an extra week or two is fine. Unless nails are pressing or growing into the pad.

I recommend a**l glands are expressed if needed. I do not advise waiting so visit your vets while I'm away if needed.

On average cats claws will be fully grown and sharp again in 4-8 weeks. This photo shows a clipped claw on the left and 5 weeks growth on the right. Some owners choose to have them clipped every month, every 3 months, once a year or not at all. Whatever suits you and your cat!
