Its that time of year again horsey lovers!
Please remember to drop down the weight of your horses rugs as they are desperately trying to shed their old winter hair and dead skin cells. Let them have some air on their backs and get those rugs hung inside out and give them a brush off with a rubber brush to get some of this hair out!
Although de moulting is part of our services, bad rugs will be charged extra for as it takes a lot of time removing this before we can wash your rugs and it can cause 100s of pounds of damage to my machines! Not to mention sores on your horses where hair balls up and starts catching more hair pulling and ripping at it!

It’s very important that horses, ponies and donkeys are routinely checked 6-12 monthly to maintain their comfort, this is because horses teeth are always growing and will become sharp. It also allows us to monitor and discover any problems you may not see inside the mouth. These animals hide pain very well so, just because they seem happy it doesn’t always mean there is not something wrong.

Private - £25 (45 minute session)
Group - £18pp (1 hour session)
(You can plan your own group prior to event or can be put in a group)

Pole work
Beginner = Lead rein Walk & Trot
Intermediate = Walk & Trot poles
Advanced = Walk, Trot, & Canter poles

Gridwork
Beginner = up to 50cm (LR welcome)
Novice = up to 65cm
Intermediate = up to 70cm - 80cm
Advanced = up to 90cm - 1m

Fancy dress encouraged for both adults and children!
Prizes for best dressed!

Dyffryn Paith Riding Group are organising a first aid at work and horse riders first aid course.
This is a 7 hour course that will provide you with a certificate which is valid for 3 years. It will cover first aid at work and common rider/handler injuries. The course will be held at Pen-y-Caerau Yard, Rhosygarth near Llanilar.
We have 2 dates booked, the 2nd and 9th of October, when expressing your interest please state which date is best for you.
The cost will be £65 for Dyffryn Paith members and £70 for non-members.

A course of jumps will be set up on Sunday morning in the arena and will be available to hire throughout the day, also why not make a day of it and follow up with ride around the xc field and perhaps a ride up to see the views from the hill fort, the price for use on Sunday is £20 per horse, Don't rush off make a day of it where you can come and go as you please and arrive anytime that suits and fit in around fellow riders, you must hold your own insurance and accept you ride at your own risk on the premises, horses must also be within their annual flu booster period.
