Percy's Dental Hygiene demonstration
I want to do a quick video on the importance of my dental hygiene. So here it is. My mum said I need to eat this funny thing here to keep my teeth clean. I didn't really fancy it to start with, but then I saw Faith chomping away at hers, so with some persuasion I gave it a go. I must admit it does taste quite decent when you get going, and it does get to the back of my teeth nicely giving them a good clean (as you can see here with my demonstration). It was either that, she said, or have a long thing with a brush on the end invading my molars. I chose the bone in preference of course.
She said (mum that is) that they have to be the proper thing, e.g. Dentastix, as they are ridged and tough to chew, not the cheap ones which are softer and not so effective (apparently)
Thank you for watching. Love Percy xx
Introducing our new hound, the stunningly handsome Mr. Percy Boots, adopted on Sunday (29th August) from Daybreaks Kennels, Birmingham.
He has settled in magnificently, a couple of sprinkles on the furniture when he first arrived (excitement and marking his new territory). A firm NO stopped him in his tracks, and he went straight to the garden. A good walk when we got him home, then again before bed on the first night made sure he emptied a seemingly inexhaustible wee tank! All that has settled down now he's calmer and more relaxed.
He's met all Faith's local friends in the park, big and small and has behaved impeccably. Faith loves the company, and they sleep peacefully together on their new beds. Here they are together on his 2nd day, eating together (under a watchful eye)! He's established that his favourite room in the house is the kitchen! 🥰
Will post more pics later. ❤❤
Flash from Lancashire
They say a picture speaks a thousand words....but a video adds so much more. Here's the stunningly handsome Flash modelling his new coat. Thank you Tillie for the fantastic video. Absolutely love it ❤️ Xx
Self isolating has been pretty straightforward today 😏
Ellie getting stuck in to her favourite green alkanet salad. Excellent for urinary conditions.
Same every day. We wait patiently until Ellie deems it convenient to catch up. I put it down to her age; I can almost hear her say "when you get to my age you can please yourself what you do, & let no one push you around, I'll come back when I'm good & ready" & she does.
Hounds & whippies in the park today. My two were staying close to the treat source, and taking no chances (poor starving mites)! ☺
Pixie from Weymouth :)
Pixie from Weymouth, on the correct use of a Lily Peeps summer coat, :)
Thanks Stella for the video!
Two goats...
I'm certain my two were goats in a previous life :)
More adventures with Duck ♡
This is definitely GROWING weather, everything seems about 2 foot taller than it was a week ago!
A bit of early morning foraging in the woods.
Apparently dogs have one of the most discerning palates when it comes to beneficial herbs. Ellie always spends 5 or more minutes 'ruminating' in the verges on walks; cleavers & grass are today specials. Pulmonaria (Lungwort) in the garden was last week's favourite - it's now recovering on the wall !
Louis with his favourite duck :)
Just over 2 weeks ago (17th Jan) Louis having a mini whizz! 😊
We don't normally ship to countries where the temperature is 40 degrees plus, but when a lady contacted us for a summer coat we arranged it. Today we had a short video clip and a photo of Danny - and a bit of the amazing skyline in Dubai. Thought I'd share!
