‘’Rhu started his flyball training at 14 weeks with flat run backs chasing his tug! He completed his final level 4 Flyball Tournament Circuit award in May 2023 and now also has his FTC 50 and 100 clean runs rosettes. He was voted Flyball Dog of the Future in our Flyball Team's awards in 2022 and Dog you'd most like to run in 2023. He's now stepped up into open racing with our team, Carry On's, and has just gained his British Flyball Association Flyball Dog award with his first 1000 racing points. Looking forward to what the future will bring’’

Always choose a licensed breeder like Stubleywood & check with the local council you are looking to buy a pup from 🐾 We are inspected with very strict regulations just like an Ofsted inspection!

We know that puppies are for life and not just for Christmas but, if you are ready for this lifelong commitment and are planning on buying a puppy in the run up to the festive period, our trading standards team would urge caution.

The high demand for puppies and the prices that can be charged for them is attracting irresponsible and even criminal sellers, who put profit before the welfare of the puppies.

Unlicensed premises are likely to be poor and have a high risk of disease and ill health.

If you are looking to add a puppy to the family this Christmas, we would urge you to follow the advice below:

• Make sure that the breeder is licensed. A licence number should be displayed in all adverts. Licensed breeders within Rochdale can be found here: rochdale.gov.uk/downloads/download/495/animal-licence-holders
• Ask to see paperwork and certificates for vaccinations, microchipping and test results
• Visit the puppy at the place where it has been bred and make sure you see it with its mum. Never agree to meet the seller with the puppy elsewhere
• Do not allow the seller to deliver the puppy to your home or meet you in a public place, such as a car park
• You shouldn’t feel forced to rush into a purchase, be prepared to walk away from the transaction, it can take time to find the right dog for you and your family.

🐾 Great advise for exercising your puppies, please read as going on long walks with lots of play time can damage there bones & joints for the future ! 🐾

Puppies need exercise, just not as much as you might think. Too much exercise can cause permanent damage to your puppy's bones.
