Well what a first day here at Hickstead for this pair.
Becky and the legend that is Jack have only gone and qualified for the 1.20 Amateur final in the main ring on Saturday by finishing 4th in the 1st qualifier. Jack jumped unreal, he just lights up and loves it here 🤩🤩
So proud of them both 🥰
All settled in for a week of jumping with Jack, Ronnie, Peaches and Twerp. Fingers crossed for a good week 🤩
Now cooking our tea on the barbecue 😋
A fabulous lesson yesterday for Isla and her pony V. This combination have really grown over the summer holidays and we are such proud trainers. We could see that after each lesson Isla went away and practised what we had learnt. Onwards and upwards 😊
Another milestone today for Zeeva. We introduced trot on the road and what a super girl she was. Just proves that when you take your time, dont rush and gain their trust they will start to accept anything we ask of them 🤩
The beautiful Zeeva now walking confidently up and down the lanes. We will now progress to the arena and start to work on the trot. We have taken our time with her due to being sensitive but we are very pleased with how she’s coming on 🤩🤩
HSF Random jumping two super double clears yesterday at Vale View in the 1.05 to finish 3rd and 2nd in the 1.10 (video). Thank you to Becky and Bente for coming and supporting me 🤩
Well this happened this morning. We are finally on the lovely Zeeva. We have taken our time with her as she has been a little wary and sensitive so these types it’s best not too rush them. And just look at her now walking happily up and down the lane 🤩
The team yesterday morning having a EquiVibe session. Then Jack had a hack, Twerp and Ronnie had a jump ready for the weekend and both went very well. Sully is working lovely and improving each day.
All the showjumpers are feeling and looking incredibly well at the moment 🤩
Bit of an easier day today for Sully and Twerp after working lovely the last couple of days. They both enjoyed their hack around the lanes 😊
A super lesson for Isla and V tonight. Isla’s confidence has grown over the last few weeks and it’s definitely showing in her riding. We are very proud trainers. Keep up the good work 🤩🤩
Think Becky has tired Ronnie out with his early morning session. He worked lovely for her in the field then came in the arena and did some canter poles where he maintained a lovely rhythm and straightness. Such a beautiful boy 🤩
The lovely Sully working well this morning in his schooling session. We are working on getting him to work more from behind and become more supple through his rib cage but he’s a little trier ☺️
A very busy day at KH today. First thing we worked Elles lovely mares Fern and Lily who have been a pleasure to deal with and are working super 🤩
We then came back and worked Zeeva on the long reins, we did some road work then gave her a session in the field for a change from the arena. She is really coming along nicely and even popped over the XC jump first time. Then to finish off Becky lent over her so hopefully by the end of the week we should be on her 🤞
The lovely Piko who has been with us on schooling livery went home today and his owner was very pleased with how he’s improved. We will miss his cheeky face
We then finished the day off riding Sully (Dun Connemara) who arrived with us on Friday, he has come in to further his education.
The showjumpers all had a field day which they thoroughly enjoyed 😍
A trip out to vale view with HSF Random. He jumped two lovely rounds just having 4 faults in the 1m open but then jumped a fast double clear to finish 2nd in the 1.05. Very pleased with him. Thank you Bente for coming and helping me
Super Twerp worked lovely this afternoon on his flat session. We worked on shortening and lengthening the canter between poles then finished off with him working long and low 🥰

A busy morning so far with Jack having an early schooling session with Becky (unfortunately no pics) but he worked well.
Piko (schooling livery) worked lovely again and has improved in the few days of being here. He’s such a sweet pony to work with 😊
Simba had a schooling session with Abby and was a good boy 😊
Also taught Lydia on her lovely pony. We worked on keeping the mare in a rhythm by using a grid to slow the canter down and to sit down more from behind (video to follow) well ridden.

We had a new arrival yesterday the lovely Piko who has come in to us for some schooling. What a gorgeous little pony he is 🤩

Peaches round in the Discovery yesterday. She will now go and have a few weeks chilling in the field as she’s done a lot since being with us. Very pleased with her 🤩
A very hot day at Field House EC today. We took Simba, Peaches and Twerp.
First up was Simba who we took for Holly whilst she is away. He jumped a lovely clear round so we are looking forward to seeing Holly back on him.
Next was Peaches who just needed one more double clear in the discovery for 2nd rounds next year. She jumped an incredible double clear so we decided to withdraw her from the 1.05 🥰
Last was Twerp who jumped a super clear in the 1m open to finish 🥉 then had a couple of poles in the 1.05.
Overall a very good day today.
And yesterday we took Jack and Ronnie to Kelsall hill EC where they both jumped some lovely rounds. Very pleased with how all the horses have gone this weekend in this heat 🤩🤩

This time for Isla and her pony V.
This combination have been working really hard of late after a few hiccups we are back on track. Today they headed off to Beaver Hall where they won the 45cms, 2nd in the 50/55 and 1st in the 60cms. We are very pleased with Isla’s determination 🤩

Ellie also had a lesson but unfortunately we didnt get any pics but they worked really hard on moving the canter forward and then collecting.

Well the beautiful Maisie had only been with us just over a week and today flew through her 5 stage vetting this afternoon and has been delivered to her new owner Harry. We wish them both all the luck in the world and can’t wait to follow their journey
Well what a great start to the weekend, we have just been sent the most amazing message from Eliza’s mum. We are so proud of you, just after 3 lessons they are winning at championship shows 🤩
Eliza was struggling with the pony putting a few stops in after a tack change and learning to ride the pony into a more forward rhythm they are now becoming a great partnership !!! Well done Eliza !!

Rainbow having a little trot round the arena tonight. She’s had over a week off with us being at Hickstead and comes out foot perfect. Just proves if you do the ground work correctly and don’t rush, the horse will gain your trust and confidence. Well ridden Becky 🤩
