2025 news announcement! We are pleased to tell you that we have a new additional pop-up venue!

Vet Nurse Claire will be bringing our delicious doggy deli to The Boathouse café, Pittville Park boating lake, Cheltenham, every Thursday 10am till 3pm

Starting on Thursday 16th January, you can find Claire and The Boathouse Café team ready to welcome you and your dogs

The Boathouse café, Pittville park is located on the edge of the boating lake near the skate park, tennis courts and children's play area. It has an indoor and outdoor seating area and bursting with nostalgic charm. You can enjoy freshly grounded coffee, delicious ice cream and refreshments. And now your pooch can paw pick their favourite treats from our natural doggy deli.

The boathouse is a place to hire rowing boats, pitch and putt golf and tennis courts. Perfect for families and dog walkers alike.

We look forward to seeing you there and making some new four-legged friends.

At this time of year, lots of coughs, colds and flus are making the rounds for us humans.

We help treat these with medicines but these medicines can be harmful to our pets so we need to make sure they keep out of paws reach!

If your dog has ingested any human medicine then please contact your veterinary practice for advice or you can call the Animal PoisonLine on 01202 509000.

This service is run by the Veterinary Poisons Information Service (VPIS) and is the only 24-hour specialised emergency telephone service in the UK dedicated to helping pet owners who are worried their pet may have been exposed to something harmful or poisonous.

We want to remind you that ethylene glycol that is found in most antifreeze products is toxic to dogs and cats!

Many of us will be topping up our cars with antifreeze, so please make sure you keep bottles out of reach of pets and clear up and spillages, however small!

If you think your dog has walked through any puddles of antifreeze then wash it off straight away and don't let them lick it off their paws or fur

If you think your dog has licked, drank or been in contact with antifreeze, contact your vet immediately. The quicker your dog is treated the better.

Riggs had a busy weekend at Hoopers competitions, so today we did a "sniffy walk" Giving them time to sniff provides lots of mental stimulation and is almost as important as the physical exercise they get from a walk.
