PET FIRST AID - Sunday 8th September 10.30am
This is an in person course that will provide you with the skills to save your pets life, you'll learn how to assess their health or any injuries and what to do to help them. There will be plenty of demonstrations and opportunities for hands on practice, including with our CPR dog dummy, CasPeR.

All three of these courses provide vital information for anyone owning their own dog or for those working with dogs.

CANINE BODY LANGUAGE - Sunday 22nd September, 10.30 - 2.30

This is a course for every dog owner!

Can you recognize when your dog is happy playing with another dog or when they're wanting to stop play?

Can you see the subtle signs that your dog is unwell or in pain?

Can you tell if your dog is politely greeting other dogs or or if they are giving signals that might upset others?

Can you tell when your dog is uncomfortable in a situation and trying to tell you with their body language?

Well don't worry if you answered no to these, this course will teach you how to read your dog, it will help you to understand exactly what your dog is trying to tell you.

It's a course purely for people, no dogs allowed. Its 4 hours of Canine Body Language learning, you will meet other people there for the same reason as you. To better understand their dog!

Light refreshments will be provided.

Certificates will be given on completing the course, these certificates are from Dog Training College and can be used for CPD by canine professionals.

Training again for these guys this morning, had a lovely session at Checkhill Farm, Stables & Dog Field
Really lovely dog field and even with all the weather we've had it's not muddy there! Great fun was had by Bertie and Betsy, the best training is when they don't even know they're working! They love it!

*******EDIT AMY IS NOW SORTED, STAYING WITH ME FOR A DAY OR TWO THEN OFF TO PASTURES NEW FOR HER HAPPY ENDING******* thank you to everyone that helped get her story out.

I've been contacted by a friend who needs help trying to re-home a 14 year old bichon frise. Amy the bichon belonged to a family member of theirs who due to illness can't look after her anymore, unfortunately the family aren't able to keep her as they all have their own pets. At the moment she is with family but having to be crated to keep her safe but this has to be temporary. She needs a new home urgently!
Unknown how she is with cats or children and given her age it's best she finds a quiet place to see out her days. She's a very friendly little dog who just wants the company of someone for the majority of the day. She wears a buster collar for a skin problem but has seen the vet and is ok. If you think you can help please message me on 07400 151515 and I can put you in touch with the family. Comments will be turned off as I won't be able to monitor them. Please use the number above. Photos will be added once I have some. If you can help Amy please do, it seems such a shame that this sweet little dog is homeless for Christmas.
