We had two Birthdays at the weekend that didn't get a mention 😔 massive apologies to...

Pip who turned 9 on Saturday 🐶🎈🥳 & Ruairidh who turned 5 on Sunday 🐕🎉🎂

On the plus side I know Ruariidh will be delighted that he missed a photoshoot with me 🤣📸
(runs a mile if he sees me with a camera)

🐥🪺 BIRDWATCH AT WHOOFCLUB 🪺🐥

Disaster yesterday, the wee babies decided to fledge the nest whilst the dogs were all in!

Cue the rescue operation for this wee one we found on the ground at the back of the garden

We tried to put it back In the bird house but it was determined to follow suit with the rest of its brothers and sisters

So we moved it to the trees behind our main field, staying for a wee 5 minutes to monitor that it was okay and hadn’t been messed with by any of the dogs.

It was tweetering away and we could hear their siblings calling back to it.. then mum arrived for some kisses and to welcome it to the world of the wilderness 🥰

On your merry way wee ones 👍🏼 it was so lovely to see you guys grow up 🥹

It’s not just dogs we deal in 😉

Amanda’s little bird house has finally got some residents this year. Some wee bluetits 💙

So exciting to hear them chirping and tweeting away. Videos are an only a week apart and look how much they’ve grown… We even ordered an endoscope camera to get a better look this week. 📹

Our fingers are crossed that they pick the weekend for their first fledge of the nest 🤞🏼

Nobody likes finding that their dog has a tick/ticks attached to them but these simple-to-follow instructions will make that YUCK job quicker and easier to deal with

🪲TICKS ,TICKS, TICKS 🪲

How to safely remove a tick from your dog using a tick remover, follow these steps:

👉Slide the tick remover under the tick:

👉Use a tick-twisting tool or fine-tipped tweezers. Slide it under the tick as close to your pet’s skin as possible.

👉If the tool doesn’t fit neatly, try a different size.

👉If you don’t have a tick remover, ordinary tweezers can be used, but be very careful to hold the tick gently and close to the skin.

👉Twist the tick: Without pulling upwards, twist the tool in one direction until you feel the tick loosen. It will let go when you’ve turned enough.

👉Remove the tick: Slowly lift the tool away from your pet; the tick should release and stay in the hook.

👉Dispose of it in a sealed container or ziplock bag to prevent it from attaching to other people or animals.

🪲Clean the area: After removing the tick, clean the affected area with warm salty water.

Monitor your pet for any signs of illness, such as redness, heat around the bite site, lethargy, or a reduced appetite.
