William has been starting to ride away gently and nicely this week, and this morning his owner got to sit on her horse for the very first time 😍

This was a really special moment for Kim as she has owned this lovely boy since he was 7 months old. These magic moments are some of the best parts about training horses 💕

Make sure your "breaker" has breaks ✋️

Will demonstrating how instant we want a halt on the long lines before we even consider getting on and riding. Having a good, reliable stop is the same as having a nice, big emergency stop button on a piece of machinery. A very important thing to consider

I will also just add this horse is currently doing everything bitless. He had a tooth out on Friday so needs 2 weeks without a bit, so we will continue his education as normal until he is all healed up then we will teach him to accept the bit in the same way we have taught him on the side pull
