I'm so excited! This is Danger Mouse, the first foal I bred from the legendary dressage mare Moulin Rouge. He was bought as a foal but has remained with me. This week he'll be starting some preliminary work towards being backed. I am honoured his owner trusts me with her beautiful boy.

Sherbet Pip is for sale. Born here at The Sherbet Stud she's always been very well cared for and has a bright future ahead of her. I've decided I just don't have the time to produce her under saddle. She's 3 in March and is mature and in proportion, so a great spring project. Please share ❤️❤️

Poor d***y baby, Sherbet Quinn The Mighty had his wolf teeth out this morning. I always have them removed as early as possible before the ligaments that secure the wolf teeth have had time to firm up and secure the tooth, making extraction easier. I'm lucky to have super vet and advanced veterinary practitioner (dental) Sam Hole from Pool House Equine Clinic visit today. He also did advanced dental work on the ridden horses and OAP's. 💗

Poor yearling Sherbet Quinn The Mighty had a foot abscess so is having to have a few days in. Isn't he looking amazing! I must say he was a bit if an ugly duckling this year but he's now starting to mature beautifully ❤️❤️

AES grading of the mares and foals was a great experience today. Moulin Rouge and Wendy received great comments and a gold, hopefully with more news to come...
I was especially delighted with Bazaars Gingertown and her foal Sherbet Supersweet who was graded as an eventer. Both impressed the evaluator and received 3 stars. This is awarded to horses that have the talent to succeed nationally and internationally!
The full description of 3 stars is below for those of you interested. This c**t is for sale!!!

3*** - this horse is of excellent quality – this level is awarded for horses scoring 8.0 and above in their grading evaluation. For broodmares this means that they are good enough for the main studbook. For c**ts, this level means they are potentially good enough to gain licensed level as a stallion (see our separate stallion gradings section). Horses awarded 3*** level usually have the talent to succeed nationally as well as internationally.

Our first Elite of the day here at Kingswood EC at the BB Baileys Horse Feeds Futurity goes to Valentino CK, a c**t by the young stallion Chrysler Key out of a Definitely Maybe mare, presented for showjumping and bred by European Sporthorses! Huge congratulations!

I'm holding an AES and SPSS grading here at Painley Hill Farm. My mares and foals will be graded and it's open to outside mares and foals too. If you're interested in having your horses graded with with either society please get in touch and I can guide you through the process. We will also be open to the public if you'd like to come and watch or are interested in purchasing a foal or young stock from the stud. I hope to see you there.

No photo from today, sooo busy with over 50 horses brought forward to Futurity today. Feet are now up in our accommodation after a very long day. Just an hours drive to AES gradings tomorrow. 😁

Another day grading for the AES. Today was an amazing display of many very high class foals. This was a little interlude. Anna Ross showed us the generations of breeding at Newton Stud. GP mare Harouche with her newly backed daughter. Stable names Holly and Dolly 💘

Visiting the West Country over the next couple of days with The British Breeding Futurity series after a successful day at Catherstone Stud earlier in the week.

One of the great pleasure of organising the BB Baileys Horse Feeds Futurity is to watch all those lovely foals grow up into beautiful young horses. Woodlander Die Rose is no exception. We had the privilege of meeting her as a foal when she came forward for Virtual evaluation and here she is again, having grown into an elegant young horse! Die Rose was bred at Woodlander Stud and is by Danciero. Her mother is British Dressage Breeding and Sport Royalty: the international Grand Prix mare Dornröschen, bred by the Hoerners, who went on to become the mother of none other than Woodlander Farouche. Wonderful to see her legacy carrying on with another very special daughter!
