⚡️ Key points
- avoidance is better than treatment
- there is no one correct temperature, it’s dependant on the dog
- don’t be fooled by cloudy skies! Humidity is just as dangerous as direct sun
- characteristics which put dogs more at risk: overweight, dark colouring, elderly or puppy, flat nose breeds

“We took our Franchie for a walk and now she won’t stop panting and is being sick”

FGS! It is 29 degrees!!

Dogs at higher risk of heatstroke include:

Brachycephalic (flat faced)
Dark coats
Elderly
Overweight
Puppies

Keep them at home PLEASE 🙏
