After a slow start, milk prices saw a significant increase in the second half of 2024, reaching nearly 43.5p per litre for some processors by December.

🔹Arla claimed the top spot in the price league this year, a notable turnaround from their position in 2023.

🔹Muller, a strong contender in 2023, slipped to eighth place in 2024. However, over a longer period, the price difference between these two major players remains minimal.

Looking ahead:
🔹Q1 of 2025 is expected to see relatively stable prices. 🤞
However, with high milk volumes and falling commodity prices, there's a risk of price declines in Q2. 📉
🔹The pressure is mounting on processors as end-use buyers are aware of the current market conditions. ⚠️
