Merry Christmas from Dynamic Dogs! 🎄🐕

How cute are these two posing in front of the lovely Christmas tree at Doveridge Village Hall after they aced this year’s classes. Maya went from being a boisterous puppy who struggled to focus in class to now being able to settle by her owner’s side and focus wonderfully even around other dogs. Wynter was a very excitable girl who would bark to show her enthusiasm was able to sit beside her biggest triggers, small dogs, by the end of the year without so much as a peep out of her. I am so proud of our amazing clients and how hard they have worked to build their relationships with their companions.

With our classes for the year coming to an end, we played some fun games with the dogs in our Monday evening puppy and beginner class where both Maya the (not so little) Labrador puppy and Wynter the GSD mix smashed their scent games and found their tasty treats underneath these tennis balls.

This game can be played at anytime and basically anywhere by utilising a basic muffin tray and any old ball that will fit into the tray. By hiding treats or toys under an object, the dog must use their nose to find their reward. This helps in a number of different ways, such as working their busy brains and helping them express natural behaviours. Sniffing can be very calming for dogs and with the horrible cold weather about, it’s a great game to play on those days where a long walk in the rain isn’t very appealing. It’s cheap and very fun!

We’re into our third week of training classes and we have three superstars in our midst. All different dogs of different ages and all with us for different reasons but the one thing they have in common is that they are super smart and will take on any challenge thrown at them! A warm welcome to Wynter the gorgeous GSD mix, Maya the adorable Labrador puppy and Jake the lovely cocker spaniel 🥰🐕

Say hello to the lovely little Ruby. Her owners reached out to us to help with her nervousness, she was unfortunately attacked by a much larger dog recently which has made her even more fearful. She was amazing today and made some great progress.

We discussed proper socialisation, allowing her to stop on walks to take in her environment without having to interact with it and talked about ways to build up her confidence. We even swapped leads at one point and although a bit unsure, little Ruby was happy with me taking the reins for the last half of the session. Really looking forward to seeing this lovely girl’s progress 🥰

Say hello to the lovely Hugo the Doberman puppy, at just 5 months old he’s learning how the world works and what’s expected from him. We worked on his puppy nipping and jumping up as well as general obedience like recall, focus games and settling. He did wonderful and quickly learnt all of these behaviours. What a wonderful young dog and so, so smart! Looking forward to seeing how he progresses as we keep training him.

Biggest of thanks to Doveridge Village Hall for inviting us to have a table at their community cafe opening on Monday 26th August to promote our business. We will have a table set up where you can come over for a chat about anything dog related and I will also have Miss Doris the Dalmatian with me so feel free to stop by for some Dally cuddles! A brilliant opportunity for the community to come together 🥰

Big news from Dynamic Dogs 🐕

We are starting classes for puppies and beginners on Monday 9th September! 🥳
These classes will be held on Mondays following our starting date at 5.30 to 6.30 PM at Doveridge Village Hall (full address on our website linked on our page) which is such an exciting opportunity and a dream come true. We will be covering topics that are essential for pet dogs, such as: recall, food manners, loose lead walking, socialisation, basic positions like sit, down, stand and much more!
