💡💡💡 Lights and Evening Time Slots 💡💡💡
There is now outdoor lighting at the paddocks!!
The lights have their own switches- there is one for the floodlight by the tea room/stables and one on the wooden post in the bottom section of the paddocks, right by the exterior of the old kennel block. I will be sending you additional information if you make a booking during hours where you will need them.
There are now some later time slots available to book online. Currently the latest slot I have opened up is 5pm-6pm but I will review this if the weather stays reasonably dry and the ground holds up.
Fingers crossed things are looking better as the rain has finally stopped!

I am gradually opening more slots in the coming weeks. 3pm slots are now available for booking on the website from 1st February onwards. Later evening slots will follow shortly! 🙂

⚠️XL BULLY DOGS ⚠️
As I have previously confirmed, we will still be allowing XL Bully dogs to use our secure paddock area, however the insurance company that covers our public liability have been issued guidelines that field hire facilities need to adhere to.
These are as follows:
1/ The dog is registered with the index of exempted dogs (IED) and you must be prepared to provide a copy of the life certificate AND public liability insurance, if we request it.
2/ The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times
3/ The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules
4/The dog is Micro Chipped
5/The gates are kept latched while you are in the enclosed paddock so the dog cannot escape
6/ The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled in the car park area and up the track, until you are inside the dog wash area and the gate is shut. Lead and muzzle can be removed once inside the secure area.
7/ The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field and walk back down to the car.
8/ If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together, but the banned breed dog must have its own handler and then another member of the same household needs to be present to supervise the other dogs. If there is more than 1 banned breed in the household they can come together but each dog must have its own handler.
Please understand that these are NOT my rules, they have been stipulated by the insurance company.
I have nothing but compassion and understanding for the dogs and their families that are affected by this ban, but I hope that being able to use our enclosed paddock is helpful and means that you can relax while your dog/s can sniff around and run freely.

It’s muddy and miserable…. BUT….
We have running water again and the boiler has been replaced, so the hot tap is back in action too! 😀 🚿 💧🐾

Hi all
I am home now and normal service at the paddocks will resume from today. It looks like we are pretty much fully booked until January now but do keep an eye on the page for any cancellations and last minute availability.
This week I will be updating you on the following:
1/ New updated information regarding XL Bully breeds, now that we have been given guidelines by the insurance company. They will still be allowed to use the space of course but I will give details on terms and conditions.
2/ Information on changing or rescheduling due to weather and ground conditions over the winter
3/ Information on opening times and availability

❗️💧 WATER ❗️💧
I have had to disconnect the water supply up to the taps up at the paddocks today and this will unfortunately be the case for the next few days as there is a problem with a leak.
I will try to leave a bucket of fresh water up there each morning so that you can top up the drinking water for the dogs but for the time being there will be no wash facilities available and no tap to fill up the kettle!! I’m so sorry, will get it fixed as soon as possible.

The paddock is going to be closed from the 2nd December to the 11th as I am away. If you have an existing booking during this time or if I have spoken to you directly about bookings during this period then don’t worry.

The weather is looking miserable on Thursday… if you have a booking that day keep an eye on the forecast and remember to reschedule your slot 24hrs in advance, or contact me, if you would rather give it a miss! ☔️ 🐾

Get the wellies out!!!
Lots of rain has inevitably made it muddy around the gateways and the field shelter area. Definitely time for boots and please take care as areas are slippery. We have some hardcore to spread down in that area but I need to find the time to do it- we will do our best to get the muddy bits covered over the weekend. And when I say ‘we’ I mean Lou…. 😂 Turns out shovelling hardcore is not a job for me! 😬

💩‼️NEW POO BIN SYSTEM ‼️💩
Hello all!
As from TUESDAY 24th OCTOBER there will be a new bin in the paddock for dog poo disposal. The smaller caddy bin will be placed in or near to the paddock entrance itself and this is the bin that you will need to put the full poo bags into- as you currently do with the silver bin. There will be a large bin in the car park area that I will then be emptying the caddy bin into a couple of times a week and this will be collected monthly by a specialist waste contractor. No individual poo bags are to be put in this large bin in the car park as I will be fined by the contractors!!! Please continue to only put them in the smaller bin up by the paddock.
Also in terms of poo bags- I will continue to provide some as I do now BUT they no longer need to be compostable so please do feel free to use your own 🙂

This morning I have collected 14 p**ps that were left in the paddock areas yesterday (on Tuesday)
PLEASE watch what your dogs are doing! I know I sound like a broken record but every morning I have to clear up from the day before and when there are more than just a couple it’s not acceptable and it suggests some people aren’t paying enough attention to what the dogs are doing.

Hi all. Trying to work out who visited the paddock on Wednesday of this week from 12-1pm…?
Unfortunately it seems there was a mix up and the lady that was actually booked in for that time left when she realised there were already two dogs in the paddock so she missed her session.
Just trying to work out what happened and who hasn’t paid… please do get in touch if it was you! It’s easily done and I also want to make sure it wasn’t an error on my side! Thanks so much.

BOOKINGS ON THE WEBSITE
Hi all, exciting news…. I think I’ve finally worked out how to allow you to put multiple sessions into a ‘cart’ and checkout all in one go, rather than having to make individual bookings!
If someone does this and it works can you let me know please so that I know it is in fact working..! Equally please tell me if there are any issues or it’s not working!

📣 IMPORTANT INFORMATION 📣
For those that may not have realised, we will sadly be part of the ridiculous ULEZ zone expansion as from next week. PLEASE, PLEASE check to make sure that your cars are ULEZ compliant if you are driving in from a non-ULEZ zone. Petrol cars need to be Euro 4 and above, and diesel need to be Euro 6. You can check your car on the TFL website.
The charge to pay if the car is not compliant is £12.50 🙁 and you will potentially get a fine if it’s not paid on the day you travel.
I am so sorry if this affects you, it’s the most infuriating thing and this government have a lot to answer for.. the impact on local businesses will be so detrimental.

‼️PLEASE READ‼️
Hi all, I hope you are doing well and your dogs have been enjoying running around in the cooler weather!
Just a few things about using the paddocks that I want to highlight please, if you could all take a moment to read:
1/ RESPECT THE FACILITY AND THE RESIDENTS
If you are using one of the early morning (before 9am) slots or the evening slots (after 5pm) can you please be mindful that the paddock is part of a residential property and my parents and grandparents have said that they would appreciate lower noise levels at these times. Of course we fully appreciate that there will always be a certain amount of noise to some degree, like needing to call your dogs, arriving and leaving in the car etc.. but it can be too much at times, especially if you are visiting with your children or in a group.
I want to be able to keep the hours of use as flexible as I can for you, but if there continues to be too much disturbance then I will need to remove these times and keep it strictly 9-5 which would be a real shame for those of you that frequently book those earlier or later slots.
I currently allow families to visit with children but in order for this to continue they MUST be respectful that it is a dog facility and not a playground.
We absolutely love seeing well behaved children running around with their dogs out there, it’s wonderful and many families are a pleasure to have here. However, kids jumping and climbing on the fences and dog agility equipment, or being really noisy is not appreciated. Please be much more respectful, as I really don’t want to have to enforce a no kids policy.
2/ POO BAGS
As you know, I provide fully biodegradable/compostable poo bags for you to use. The box contains over 300 bags and in the last 2 weeks nearly a whole box has been used. I know for sure that 300 poos have not been picked up in this time 😂💩 especially since I still go round and collect a few in the p**p scooper bucket each day… so please, please only take the amount that you actually need. They are really expensive so can I please ask that you don’t take them away with you.
3/ PADDLE POOLS
I’m going to leave the paddle pools out for the rest of the summer as I know many of your dogs love using them when it’s warm! However, please realise that access to the water taps is a privilege that most dog paddocks don’t provide as it uses huge amounts of our water.
Please do continue to empty and re-fill the pools and the water bowls if the water in there is dirty, as and when needed when you use the paddock. However please just be considerate of not overfilling them- the big one especially. I put a max fill line on there for a reason, it takes a huge amount of water to fill it to the top, as well as flooding the ground around it when it needs emptying. Please watch the water levels carefully and never leave the hose running if you are not watching it.
4/ RESIDENT DOGS
Many of you will have seen or met our resident dogs, and I am aware that they may occasionally cause some issues for those of you that have very reactive dogs, if ours happen to be out in the garden or by the fence. If you ever experience problems that make it difficult for you to walk your dog/s up or down the track as a result of this please do call or message me and I’ll try to offer a solution to make it easier for you 🙂
