Our Wildlife team have had a great week of releases! πͺπ»
Today they released a young wood pigeon who came into us via the vets, as he had been orphaned at such a young age. π₯Ί Our team cared for and fed the pigeon, getting him ready for his release back into the wild. As you can see, he was eager to start his new adventure! π¦
The team also released 4 mice who had been found by a member of the public. π The mice were found cold and weak, their mother hadn't been with them for a while. They were only around 10 days old! πOur dedicated team had to feed every 2 hours and overnight! The 4 mice are now healthy and have been released with a shelter, so they have the best start for their new life π
Meet Teddy π§Έ
Teddy has had a tough start in life, she arrived with us after a member of the public heard cries in a hedge and found little Teddy at 5 weeks old trying to survive and fend for herself π₯Ί
It was clear on arrival that Teddy needed urgent veterinary treatment. The team rushed her to the vets where she was treated overnight for dehydration.
Fast forward to now and Teddy is a happy healthy little kitten and ready to find her forever home! π₯°
Due to Teddy's rough start, she can be a little anxious to meet and trust new people. But every day she is flourishing and growing into a beautiful cat! π»
Here's a video of a breakthrough with one of our team members! π₯°
If you can give Teddy the love and care she deserves, please fill in a perfect match form and email it to [email protected] π

They came into our care and our wildlife team have been keeping them well fed and working on their rehabilitation. When they are old enough, they will be released back into the wild! π
These 4 siblings have been thoroughly enjoying their training in their temporary pond! π₯°

ποΈ Pigeon Rescue and Release ποΈ
A pigeon was rescued in September from between two buildings in Ventnor, where it was stuck in netting π
Our RSPCA Animal Rescue Officer was called out to rescue the pigeon, and with the assistance of the Fire and Rescue services, they managed to cut free the pigeon and take it to our local vets βΊοΈ
The pigeon had a small wound under one of its wings caused by the netting and it was very thin, sadly we think it had been stuck for a while πͺ
Thankfully, with all the right care and treatment from our local Fire and Rescue Services, our vets and our dedicated Wildlife team - the pigeon gained enough strength and has been released back into the wild! π₯°
A great team effort - thank you to all who helped! Together we can make a difference πͺπ»ππ»
Imagine having this little cute face running towards you every day π
Tinkerbell is a little ray of sunshine waiting to shine in her forever home π
π Wild Rabbit Release π
Do you remember the 7 wild rabbits that came into our care after a member of the public witnessed their mother get killed by a fox? π₯Ί
After weeks of dedication and care, our wildlife team have enabled these wild rabbits to grow big and strong and they are ready to be released back into their natural habitat. π₯°
Here's a video of them being released! We wish them a healthy happy long life in the wild! π
A huge thank you to Gift to Nature for assisting with a suitable release site π

Our 8 year old lady bun, Lucy, found her forever home recently and we received such a lovely message from her new family that we couldnβt resist sharingβ¦
βWe just wanted to say how delighted we are with dear little Lucy...she settled in so quickly, and it feels like we have had her months! The pair are such good friends already, and Lucy answers to her name too! She comes dashing out to us if we call her, and even though she still grunts a bit, she no longer growls at us, and seems to actually LIKE a stroke now - especially a head stroke! π₯°
Simon says that she always goes into the shed to "help" him every morning - tickling his legs with her whiskers and investigating his work like a hotel inspector π
She is a sweetheart, and we are so in love with her...even though we didn't expect to be in all honesty! Thank you xxβ
Absolutely over the moon Lucy has found her forever home with her new man, Thumper.
The #GoldenOldies really are special π₯°π°
Thank you Jo and Simon β€οΈ
