Sadly this page will now close as I am unable to generate enough interest in my classes in Verwood. After so many years it is a sad day.

I will still be available for Private 121s in and around Verwood and classes in Broadstone.

Blue-Green Algae = 🤢🐶
Look out for and keep dogs away from a blue-green scum that appears on the surface of water such as rivers, lakes and ponds, it usually appears after a warm spell.

Sadly, exposure to toxic blue-green algae can be fatal and can also cause long term health problems in dogs that survive after drinking or swimming in algae-contaminated water.
If you suspect your dog has been in contact with blue-green algae or shows any of the below symptoms after drinking from, swimming or paddling in water, contact your vet.
🚱 Vomiting/being sick
🚱 Diarrhoea
🚱 Disorientation/confusion/loss of balance
🚱 Drooling
🚱 Breathing difficulties
🚱 Seizures/fitting/tremors
🚱 Weakness/collapse/unconsciousness

Sweeties 🐾🐾

It's not everyday that an entire litter of puppies rock up to puppy class. Thank you Fleur at Fleur's Happy Hounds https://www.facebook.com/FleursHappyHounds for accepting us all into baby puppy class. Thank you fab friends for turning out to help. These little chunks had a great time, took it all in their stride and caused a bit of a stir riding in to and out of the venue in their little trolley.

Please be aware of this grass (wall barley) . The fine hair bits can easily enter dogs’ paws, mouths and ears. They are so fine they can travel through the dog. Lily had to have two operations when she was younger to remove 5 different bits that travelled through her paw causing abscesses. One client had to have part of her dog’s lung removed as it had entered into the lung. Best to keep your dogs off this kind of grass.

There have been 5 cases of dogs suffering burns when going into the sea at Branksome and Sandbanks. One is going to lose his eye. Another has to have his foot amputated. What is in the water to have caused these horrific injuries unknown.
