Handsome Layton came in to see Paul today! His owner noticed he had a bit of a sore gunky eye, Paul put some dye drops into his eye to check for any scratches and did a quick x-ray to see how his teeth were doing. Hopefully he will be feeling better soon!

Letβs talk about Lady, the fearless German Shepherd who had a little mishap and ended up with a cut lip after running into a fence. Ladyβs owner acted quickly and brought her to the vet, where she received the care she needed. We all know accidents can happen, and it is tough to see our furry pals in discomfort. But there are steps you can take to help them right away! Hereβs what you SHOULD do if your dog gets hurt: Stay Calm π§ββοΈ - Your dog can sense your anxiety, so try to remain as calm as possible. Assess the Injury π - Check for bleeding, swelling, and obvious wounds. Contact Your Vet π - Donβt wait. Contact your vet immediately for advice and to determine if your dog needs to be seen right away. Comfort your dog - Keep your dog calm and comfortable while you arrange for professional care. April is National Pet Month, which aims to encourage responsible pet ownership.
One of the best ways to ensure the safety of your beloved pet is through microchipping. It helps link pets to their owners and it is effective in reuniting lost pets with their families.
In England, new legislation will make it mandatory for cats over 20 weeks of age to be microchipped starting from June 2024.
If you have any concerns, our team is here to offer assistance and advice to make the process as simple as possible for you and your furry friend.
Please feel free to call us at 01344 844844.
