Well the Autumn chill in the air is a bit of a shock to the system but we had a lovely walk today. I do love all the autumn colours, even if it does make spotting poo that little bit harder!
Friendly, reliable and professional dog walking in and around Wrenthorpe.

Hi everyone. I don’t think any of us will be walking around Wrenthorpe Park on our own at night but I wanted to let you know that a guy from the council approached me this morning. He said a man has been reported as hiding in bushes before scaring mainly women walking dogs or alone. The police are aware and have been patrolling apparently but haven’t found him yet. Described as quite short with dark hair, wearing dark coloured tracksuits. Stay safe everyone and make sensible choices about where to walk once it gets dark.
Just because you’ve not seen enough cuteness today….
Wish I had their energy!
This little poppet is Arthur and he joined us for his first ever group walk today. What a little star! Very excited to meet the gang and showed off some amazing focus and concentration which is so hard when you’re only 12 weeks. Isn’t he handsome?! 🫶🥰
Little blondies Oscar and Teddy 💛💛
‘What’s that you say Aunty Hazel? Something on my bum? And shoulder? And neck? And, well, all over me?’
‘Yes Lexi. Did you roll? In poo? Lots of times?’
‘Oh but it smells so good Aunty Hazel!’
‘No Lexi! It really, REALLY, most DEFINITELY does not!’
It’s a good job we love her! 😂
Only have eyes for each other! 🖤🖤
This beautiful little creature is Daisy 🥰
She came on her first official group walk today and oh my did she do well! Off lead, playing brilliantly and amazing recall! Welcome to the Happy Hound gang Daisy. We love you already! ❤️😚
A perfect day for a spot of training and doggy parkour with Harris and Lexi. Excellent skills with some crazy play mixed in for good measure. Up, down, sit, stay, 2 paws, 4 paws, peekaboo and through. Smashed it! 😊👍
Wishing you the happiest of 1st birthdays Teddy! I can’t believe you’re a whole year old already. 🥰🥳❤️
So good to get back in the swing of things and spend some time with my little happy hounds ❤️☺️
Plenty of spaces available for group walks 10-11:30am Mondays - Thursdays now I’m all back to normal so please get in touch if you’re looking for a dog Walker for your furry little friend. ☺️
After a long hard summer helping my little human through major surgery this is just what I needed. A bit of normality back out with the hounds. Safe to say Harris and Lyla missed each other….a lot! 🖤🖤
UPDATE BENJI HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE!
Hi everyone, please share far and wide to help find this lovely rescue dog Benji who has run off from his new home. Last seen near the cricket club on wakefield road going in to the bottom end of Thornes park. He is likely to be running scared so may be difficult to approach. He is chipped. Owners contact is 07446 979834 so please report any sightings as soon as possible.
Black dog day! 🖤🖤🖤
Early walkies this morning before it got too hot! Same again tomorrow so we can have lots of fun and stay safe from the midday heat. 🥵
‘Woohoo no rain!’ Was Teddy’s response when I picked him up this morning. 😂
We had a lovely run around in the meadows with Ally’s Dog House.
These guys have definitely got better willpower than me! Excellent skills leaving treats today, especially from little Teddy! Little superstars ❤️☺️⭐️
Oscar and Nellie practicing their willpower today by leaving treats on their paws until I gave them the release word ‘okay’. Oscar may not have actually realised the treat was there but his intentions were great! ☺️🙈😂
First day back after my holiday was great!
The besties (Harris and Lyla) reunited 🖤
Teddy loving the sunshine
And a warm welcome back to Nellie who is joining us for the week. It’s like she’s never been away🥰
A few from the last week. Lovely walks with the hounds. That’s me over and out for a week whilst we’re down in Devon surfing with Florence 😎
Lovely walk with my little gang today with the bonus of Reggie joining us this week and next. Still full of beans and so much fun!
Teddy loving the buttercups today! ❤️
Soggy doggies and pretty petals 🤪

Big whoop for little Teddy today. His confidence is growing by the day and he’s enjoying having lots more time off lead. Definitely enjoying the finer weather. Well done little boy! 🥳
I swear Harris and Lyla have no idea there are any other dogs in the park when they’re out together. They only have eyes for each other! 🖤☺️🖤
The gang loved the sunshine today 😊🌞
Absolutely gorgeous sunny walk with the gang this morning! Some of the hounds even had little yellow feet from running around in all the daisies and dandelions. Credit to Ally from Ally’s Dog House for the lovely pics!

BREAKINGS NEWS! Lyla is back!!!!!! I’m not sure Harris and Lyla could have been anymore excited to see each other again! Loves young dream🥰😂❤️. In preparation for her return to Happy Hound status Lyla and her mummy even made everyone special welcome back biscuits.
Just little Teddy hanging out with the big guys. Amazing recall for such a little boy. You are doing SO SO well! Very proud Aunty Hazel ☺️
The hounds definitely weren’t up for pics today so here’s a video of one of our usual ‘pathways’ that helps to sum up our walk today. 😬
Way back at the end of August I received an enquiry from a lovely family about walking their new black lab puppy, who had only just left his mummy’s tummy. Very organised! Obviously, given that I have the monopoly on black labs in the area, I jumped at the chance! 😝 I then had an agonising 10 week wait until I could meet him (and agonising it was!). Now during that 10 weeks his new family stayed in regular contact with me. They also arranged to have a puppy training session with Ally at ‘It’s not magic dog training’ where they learned lots about how to welcome a new puppy into the home, toilet training and how to deal with the inevitable puppy nibbles and sleep! You can only imagine how excited I was when I finally got to meet the little guy, now named Bruno! From the moment I walked through the door I could see that Helen and her family had it nailed. A lovely cosy crate that Bruno loves, toys to distract him but not too many and a lovely pen for him to roam around in when left on his own, which they started doing for a few mins at a time from day one. Bruno has been coming out to play with the happy hounds for 2 weeks now and oh my goodness, he is INCREDIBLE! Turning to his name, giving AMAZING eye contact, sitting beautifully, recalling from distractions, learning how to meet other dogs politely, the list goes on. Not bad for just 13 weeks old! He is an absolute credit to his lovely family and a perfect example of how to do it right. It’s easy to get carried away with the excitement of a new puppy and forget how much hard work, time and dedication is needed to create a well trained, confident and above all, happy dog. I can’t wait to share Bruno’s journey with him, to watch him grow and learn about the wonders of the world around him. Well done little Bruno, we love you so much and think that you are a little SUPERSTAR!
