Only have eyes for each other! 🖤🖤
I’ll never tire of watching these two play. Just gorgeous 🖤🖤
Harris and Lyla
I swear Harris and Lyla have no idea there are any other dogs in the park when they’re out together. They only have eyes for each other! 🖤☺️🖤
BREAKINGS NEWS! Lyla is back!!!!!!
I’m not sure Harris and Lyla could have been anymore excited to see each other again! Loves young dream🥰😂❤️. In preparation for her return to Happy Hound status Lyla and her mummy even made everyone special welcome back biscuits.
Just little Teddy hanging out with the big guys. Amazing recall for such a little boy. You are doing SO SO well! Very proud Aunty Hazel ☺️
Harris’s reaction to a very special treat 😜
The hounds definitely weren’t up for pics today so here’s a video of one of our usual ‘pathways’ that helps to sum up our walk today. 😬
Way back at the end of August I received an enquiry from a lovely family about walking their new black lab puppy, who had only just left his mummy’s tummy. Very organised! Obviously, given that I have the monopoly on black labs in the area, I jumped at the chance! 😝 I then had an agonising 10 week wait until I could meet him (and agonising it was!).
Now during that 10 weeks his new family stayed in regular contact with me. They also arranged to have a puppy training session with Ally at ‘It’s not magic dog training’ where they learned lots about how to welcome a new puppy into the home, toilet training and how to deal with the inevitable puppy nibbles and sleep!
You can only imagine how excited I was when I finally got to meet the little guy, now named Bruno! From the moment I walked through the door I could see that Helen and her family had it nailed. A lovely cosy crate that Bruno loves, toys to distract him but not too many and a lovely pen for him to roam around in when left on his own, which they started doing for a few mins at a time from day one.
Bruno has been coming out to play with the happy hounds for 2 weeks now and oh my goodness, he is INCREDIBLE! Turning to his name, giving AMAZING eye contact, sitting beautifully, recalling from distractions, learning how to meet other dogs politely, the list goes on. Not bad for just 13 weeks old!
He is an absolute credit to his lovely family and a perfect example of how to do it right. It’s easy to get carried away with the excitement of a new puppy and forget how much hard work, time and dedication is needed to create a well trained, confident and above all, happy dog. I can’t wait to share Bruno’s journey with him, to watch him grow and learn about the wonders of the world around him. Well done little Bruno, we love you so much and think that you are a little SUPERSTAR!
