Alright, alright.... so it might seem a little bias considering we offer this service to our local dog owning community of Wakefield.
But here's the truth, hiring a dog walker has some pretty awesome benefits for you and your pooches!
Coming in high at number one!
1 - Socialisation & Stimulation
Whether your dog is happy walking in groups, mixing with other dogs from other households or if they are a lone ranger. They all get a chance to socialise with the outside world whilst also using their super incredible senses to find out what's going on around them.
2 - Behaviour!
Some dogs exhibit boredom behaviours like destruction and that's not good for anyone however a tired dog is a relaxed dog and most of all a happier dog. Walking helps use up that extra energy. Break up their day and help combat those pesky barking, howling, toileting indoors behaviours ๐ช (we would however always suggest working wiyj a positive based trainer to help with some of these behaviours.)
3 - Time Vs Life Vs Money
It's 2022 and of course we'd all love to be living the high life but unfortunately the cost of living is on the rise (luckily our dog walking prices are not due to rise any time soon) but for most of us it means working more, longer hours away from home. The last thing you want to be doing is rushing home to see your dog has eliminated everywhere, the neighbours complaining about barking or your favourite throw pillow is 12 million pieces.
Not only that but I bet you've noticed your social life has taken a hit too ๐ญ
4 - Health, Physical and Mental
Dogs need regular exercise to help keep our much loved friend living longer and happier. A dog stuck home for 8 hours is not only likely to suffer with boredom leading to destructive behaviours but it can also be a pretty lonely time for dogs to spend a large proportion of their life isolated.
5 - Peace Of Mind
Hiring a dog walker gives me that stressful peace of mind that your dog is being looked after whilst you're at work. Even if you only have someone come in a few days of the week, knowing your dog is out living their best life with their friends has got to bring some order to your day even if Barry from accountants has just dumped a large pile of files on your desk want them sorted by 3pm or Karen from HR won't shut up about her recent holiday to the Maldives. Kick back and relax because your dog is being cared for.....
