Dexter 🐕
🌎 Today is #WorldCancerDay and a great opportunity for us to celebrate the huge advances made in veterinary oncology over the last two decades.
Where once there were very few options when a pet was diagnosed with cancer, we can now treat cancers and send many into remission.
This includes patients like eight-year-old Staffy Dexter, who was referred to us in September after being diagnosed with a mast cell tumour. After surgical removal, he completed his injectable chemotherapy course of eight treatments.
Dexter did amazingly well throughout, and was always happy to come to the practice where he loved having the treats and cuddles. He sailed through the experience with no side effects and his owner said you wouldn't have known he was having chemotherapy! He was signed off in January cancer-free...🥳

This week is World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW), a global campaign that is celebrated annually to raise awareness about antibiotic resistance and the dangers it poses to both human and animal health.
It's critical that we preserve the effectiveness of our antibiotics for as long as possible, which can be achieved by only using them when necessary. The battle against antibiotic resistance is a collective effort, and we all have a role to play.
We’re going blue to raise awareness. Are you ready to do your part?
