After many unsuitable office jobs and an out of kilter work/life balance, I made the decision to set up Paw Legged Friends.
My second in command is Norbert the pug. He is a cheeky chappy and the chief treat gobbler. He is a healthy rescue pug who loves his kong toy, sleeping with his tongue out and just being near his humans.
I also offer a home security service to keep an eye on your property whilst you are away.
I suppose you could say I had a taste of the outdoors from a very young age. I worked on a farm every Sunday from the age of 10. The early starts, physically hard graft, working with animals - from kittens to thoroughbreds - and coming home smelling of allsorts never bothered me. In fact I enjoyed it!
I finished my GCSE's, A Levels and graduated with a degree in Translation: French & German. But none of this satisfied my urge to take care of animals.
I offer a bespoke and personal service tailored to the needs of your pet.
For dogs, this may mean giving them their favourite treat when I safely return them to your home after a fun adventure.
For cats it may involve opening their presents with them whilst you are away.
I send all my clients daily updates so you have peace of mind that your pet is well and contented during your absence. Perhaps you forgot to turn the heating on or put the milk back in the fridge this morning! Nothing is too much to ask so please if you have any specific requirements just ASK.
What motivated me to choose this career?
I love being outdoors and being mindful. Seeing the seasons change in all their spectacular colours is something made all the more enjoyable by my Paw Legged Friends.
I believe it's a healthy career that enables me to combine the things I love and provide a service of real value that's sought after in today's busy world.
I was obsessed with pugs long before I adopted Norbert. I have soft spots for other breeds too, like Dachshunds and Spaniels. But it isn't hard to find something to love in each and every single dog, cat or small furry I am fortunate enough to look after.
