The course is 6 weeks and we aim to teach

* The course covers

* Appropriate socialisation and signs to look out for when your puppy is at play.

* Basic obedience exercises to help increase the bond with your dog, teach the boundaries that you want to instill and what is expected.

* How to recall your dog, safely and improve your dogs recall and attention when offlead.

* How to walk your dog, teach your dog heelwork in the correct place and correct pace to walk, stop pulling ahead and how to encourage your dog to walk.

* What you should feed your dog, the nutritional benefits of a good diet.

* Health checks on your dog, grooming needs and general care of your best friend.

During thunder, dogs can become upset, close all windows and doors, curtains if necessary play with your dog and distract away from the thunder, use kong treat filled toys and wobblers to occupy them, if possible stay with them to reassure but try as little as possible as there is a thin line to reassuring and fussing over the noise

Warmer weather tips. 1 have your dog appropriately groomed, not too short that their skin can burn. Not to long that they over heat. 2 do not
Leave your Dog in the car. 3 wet the grass in the shade for your dog to lie down in do not wet the dogs coat 4 leave plenty of cold water for your dog. 5 use children's sunblock on any pink skin exposed to the sun such as on the nose and ears. 6 short snouted dogs suffer more from heat as they can't expell the heat from their system as well as large snouted dogs so dip their feet in cold water as dogs sweat from their feet. 7 invest in a swamp coat 8 make ice cubes with your dogs favourite treats in 9 give your dog a break in hot spells shorten the time you normally walk. 10 have fun it won't last.
